I met a friend I haven't seen in a couple decades here for breakfast, and this place definitely delivered a great breakfast. There was a little bit of a wait, but that's because it's really good. The place itself is kinda small yet cozy. I sat at the bar and ordered the chicken fried steak while my friend ordered the two cheese omelette. The chicken fried steak was perfect, and it definitely tender. The gravy was flavorful and chunky. The service was excellent given the size and amount of people eating at the time. Definitely worth hitting up if you're in the are, certainly would recommend this for people.
Every couple of months my buddies and I like to travel around washington and explore for a couple of days. We came here in the morning for breakfast and a we took our leave full and very very satisfied! The chicken and waffles were recommended by the awesome waitress and I can understand why. If you ever get a chance, stop by, grab an Irish tea and some great food! You will not be disappointed.
We went to have lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. Much less crowded than on the weekends. I had the Reuben and my husband had the Derail burger. Both were delicious and huge portions. Let's just say I have lunch for tomorrow too and I'm looking forward to it again. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'll surely be back.
A local gem tucked into the old main street of Burlington. We went on a Friday evening and it was getting busy. Large selection of craft beers and a menu full of feel-good food! Probably not your take for a “healthy” date night, but if you’re good for a big burger or sloppy sandwich or something else along the lines of elevated bar food, this is your pick. Personally, I enjoyed the cheesesteak spin off. We enjoyed it. Good service, fair prices. Would come back!
The coffee was super strong & SO GOOD! The minced ham n eggs with potatoes was yummy, came with a biscuit as well so it was a lot of food! The chorizo scramble was good but it was absolutely loaded with garlic. Like, a toothbrush & mouthwash didn't help after that haha. Looking forward to trying the lunch or dinner next!
WHY HAVEN'T YOU BEEN HERE YET? This place is amazing, hands down. They smoke all of their meats in house, fantastic drink selection, and the food is out of this world, great filling portions and fair prices. The service is perfection, so sweet, attentive, and detail oriented they also offer $1 jello shots when you hear a train go by! I had the nameless pig sandwich with chorizo and smoked pork and my husband had the elk burger. Our friends had the brisket sandwiches. Every single person said I'm going to be talking and dreaming about this meal for a while. We all sat at the gorgeous bar, they must have connections with a mill, lots of beautiful wood pieces in this restaurant. Can't wait to come back and it's right off the freeway.
Friday night at 8 pm ; We sat ourselves and there was no wait either. First time into this bar and it was definitely unique. Our booth was made out of a tree trunk. Our waitress was very cordial and got our drinks quickly. The hot rums were very delicious, and the gummy bear cocktail had no alcohol taste to it tasted like a yummy lemonade, so it hid the alcohol well. We asked her many questions about the menu and she was very helpful. Such as; elk vs beef, about the pastrami, questions regarding gluten free / lactose free options, and about salads. Our appetizers came out quickly. The sweet potato fries were hot, crispy and fresh. The mango chili sauce was an awesome compliment to the fries. I got the clam chowder as an appetizer. It wasn't my favorite since the soup wasn't hot, and could have been thicker, but it still tasted good. The cheese curds were great; the red dipping sauce definitely had a unique and tangy flavor to it. We were split on our feelings about it. The food came shortly thereafter and we got 4 knockout meals. The one meal that wasn't as good was the crab cakes. My sister in law had to change the order a lot due to her dietary restrictions and she didn't like how her meal turned out. My wife's grilled cheese was oozing, on thick toasted bread, and the gouda made it extra soft and creamy. The tomato soup was very cheesy as well and the thick soup made the basil flavor shine. My elk burger first time trying elk was cooked to perfection, and the bacon on there was thick, and had a nice fatty flavor to compliment a leaner meat. My mother in law was in love with her reuben, especially the sauce that came on it. The salmon Cobb salad that my father in law got looked tasty; he loved it. The portions were massive so we all got to take home some food so we could get two meals for the price of one. Overall, a chill atmosphere, good drinks, great food, quick and friendly service, Friday night; this was definitely a five star experience and we will be back for more train wrecks in the Future!
This is smaller Bar and Grill. The atmosphere of this place is good. Staff are friendly. This would be the place to go if you wanted to cure your hangover with a drink and breakfast this would be a great choice. Would liked to have given 5 stars, however the biscuits and gravy were entirely to bland. To the point of us bringing our food home just so we could make our own gravy.
This small gem is worth the visit. Seated immediately. Wait staff was fast friendly and efficient. I had Philly cheesesteak and onion rings. The hoagie bun was grill toasted and ingredients cooked perfectly. The onion rings were fresh battered and arrived crispy hot and tasty. My wife had the elk burger and fries. The burger was prepared similarly well. The fries were cut and fried twice. These could have been a little more crispy. The eatery is clean and has character.
They do have Gluten friendly buns but not alot of gluten free stuff. Not bad at all, nice place. Yes forgot BNSF pass right next to restaurants and it does shack, but fun if you like trains. The food was great for the price. Very large portions I had the smoke brisket sandwich and it was ok. No real smokey flavor and it was not seasoned, nothing a little salt can not fix. Again not bad for a group meal. Update I am currently in pain and to be fair I moved the stars from four to three, I should have asked if the sauce was gluten free and about cross contamination but I did not. Locations believe just because they have some Gluten free products everything is OK but cross contamination and a lot of sauces some seasoning are not friendly to celiac people, so please people do not fail yourself like I did . It is not this location fault the the blame Falls squarely on me.
