Tratto
"A spirited, bar-driven restaurant serving rustic Italian fare with modern sensibilities, Tratto means the stroke of a pen in Italian, a nod to the neighborhood’s artistic history. A flavorful menu of simple, delicious and shareable dishes coupled with casual, communal-style dining creates a neighborhood bar experience inspired by the Italian happy hour tradition of "aperitivo." Dishes such as house-made pastas and sausages, pizza, seasonal vegetables and seafood are prepared with as little manipulation as possible, ranging from slow-cooked braises to "à la minute" cuisine."

After a long travel day, we were starving and wanted something close to our hotel. We didn’t research, just picked the closest place. We started our meal with the focaccia and the meatballs. Both were absolutely fantastic. For our main course we ordered the pappardelle pasta and the pizza with prosciutto, roasted grapes, arugula, balsamic, and goat cheese. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you this was the best pasta and pizza I have ever had - and I consider myself well pretty well traveled. The service was great, the drinks were strong. I don’t know how this place doesn’t have 5 stars.
Nice spot on the corner. Great atmosphere. The meatballs and polenta were delicious but the doughnuts were definitely lacking something. I took them to go thinking they would taste different after cooling off but they tasted the same as in restaurant. I threw them away. They left a weird after taste in my mouth. I would return to this restaurant I just won't get doughnuts again. Our server was awesome.
can't help but start this restaurant write up with dessert first! Eat with your eyes! The panna cotta at Tratto—with candied lemon rind, lemon curd, and sprinkled vanilla bean—was my absolutely favorite part of the meal, followed closely by the accompanying house-made pomplecello apertif. I also greatly enjoyed my lemon fettuccine cacciatore, which ended up being one dish versus a separate chicken cacciatore and pasta. I really like how that turned out all together! Husband had the mushroom pizza, which he enjoyed, though he was less enthused about the bitter cherry whiskey soda. I found the meatballs to be on the dry side, though I liked the white polenta that accompanied them.
This was an awful experience of my entire trip. The service was terrible. When I walked into the restaurant that day, the waitress with glasses who was standing at the front desk walked away immediately, and I waited for a few minutes until the duty manager told us only takeaway was available. Still, I could see some tables were vacated. So we stayed in the hotel lobby after ordering. But the wrong order was delivered. So I went back again, but the renowned name on the bill about the two of us made me very uncomfortable, and I felt deeply offended. Inferior service!!! NEVER BACK AGAIN!!!
Nice pasta, and pizza. Great meatballs. Easy to fill up on sharing plates, but save room for the donuts.Food: 5/5
Ridiculous price gouging. Booked a table for lunch, when we showed up we were given a little card indicating that there was a fixed menu with three sandwich choices - for $75 per person. Definitely won’t be returning.
It was delicious. I had the gnocchi with beet and pistachio pesto and I was in heaven. The olive oil cake for dessert what equally fantastic. The Italian soda was pleasant and not too sweet at all. I am not 100% sure the flavor but I think there was some grapefruit in there. So you may want to double check if you have allergies. Overall we went after a long exhausting day on a work trip and it was nice.
So happy they re opened. The food here is great and the cocktails off the menu are even better. They feel very COVID safe and the tables were spaced well. The double dolce cocktail was not too sweet and actually pretty refreshing. The fried prosciutto roses with the fried chicken appetizer were a nice touch. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The desserts were so hard to choose from so luckily we got all three
Very nice pre-theater eating oasis. Nice, low-lighting ambience, simple but urban elegant and very nice staff. The food is very good and reasonably priced. And they take reservations. It's adjacent to a nice hotel.
Nice place to eat fresh Italian. I had a homemade sausage pizza. It was very good, but a bit runny. This would be a great place for a date as it’s nice and not super expensive.
