It was ok, average. Food came out really fast but the margaritas arrived after we finished our meal, even though we reminded a waitress half way through the meal. The tacos looked very nice see photos and the taste was a little better than average. Waitress was friendly but I think they would’ve done better with one or two more staff.
I went into this restaurant from a local’s recommendation. The food and drinks here is out of this world! I had a spicy skinny margarita and the tacos. But the server, Kristy, was incredible! She was super attentive and kind. I will definitely be back when I’m town!
This spot lived up to high expectations. It was a little too windy to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor seating, but we had a great time indoors. The drinks were very creative; particularly the signature old fashioned. The chips are the best restaurant chips I've ever eaten. Service and food were great. I really enjoyed the mole enchiladas, and everyone seemed happy with their choices.
Nice location for heated outdoor seating. The staff has always been nice. They have a good happy hour for Margaritas and pitchers. The food is good if you don’t have a taste for actual Mexican food. If you enjoy more authentic Mexican food this isn’t it. The rice is surprising good though. The cocktails are good. The mezcal is very Smokey.
Found this little Taco place at a short walk near our hotel during our SF trip. They have a cute outdoor seating but it was slightly chilly so we got a table inside. The tables are very close to eachother so no real privacy between tables; would have preferred slightly spaced out seating but the restaurant is small. They have a decent sized menu with lots of food options and crazy drinks options along with Pitchers & Flights choices. We tried their Mezcal Margaritas and I enjoyed it. The Tacos were really flavorful and very authentic. We got the 3 for $18 and the Quesa Birria Tacos along with Chips n Salsa between two people and were satisfied with the amount of food. Their menu online food options + pricing was a bit different than the actual menu & pricing at this location but likely they have other locations with the particular menu & pricing or they are outdated. Would visit this place again if it weren't a short stay at SF.
Overall a nice place for some good Mexican food. I really enjoyed there quesadillas which I do recommend. Stuff is towards the expensiver side though. Churros we’re also really yummy.
This place is amazing. As soon as I sat down Mario behind the bar greeted me; made me feel super welcome. I ordered a spicy Paloma, and it's probably the best one I've had in a while, and he doesn't taking the rim, he tajin's half the frickin' glass which is awesome. Then they brought out chips and guacamole or green sauce of some sort. It was nice somewhat thick texture, tart and flavorful, nithing worse than a bland saucebut the CHIPS, the chips kinda stole the show, which is odd. I just have never tasted chips that freshly toasted out of the oven before. I asked for more sauce, and he brought it right away with a whole new batch of chips. And the bacon wrapped1 poppers were excellent, and not your ordinary out of the freezer poppers. These bad boys were clearly made in the kitchen and they didn't disappoint. Compliments to the chef. Mario, without asking me, brought me a shot of their frozen passion fruit margaritas slushy. And that was also really really great. Wish I was hungrier, and didn't get buzzed so quick, but can't wait to go back. Great casual, spot for friends, family or a fun date with excellent, well, everything! P.s. almost forgot about the quesabirria. It was perfect. So good, just get it.
We visited Matador on a Sunday evening and it was pretty busy. We had to wait outside a while before we were seated, but when we finally were, the staff was apologetic and very friendly to us. We chose to sit at the bar because it was better lit and more spacious. We ordered horchata and a watermelon agua fresca for drinks. The server was friendly and quick to serve us. For dinner, we ordered the mix and match tacos, where you can get 3 for $14. We both got the cauliflower adobo, camarones al diabla grilled shrimp, and fish al pastor tacos. Everything tasted great and we were happy with what we ordered.
Tasty! The three in my group and I enjoyed the food and drinks. We stopped by often for happy hour during our trip to san fran and will be sure to return when there again. The staff was very friendly but it did take a few tries to get the server's attention.Food: 5/5
Amazing food, great service! Orderd the carnita fajhitas and the taco specialty and corona extra , they didn't had the regular bottle so they gave me extra in a glass. Worth the money
