Dr. Youngdahl is very rude and unprofessional. She was also very rushed when you saw her. As a lack of her ability to connect to her patient she never recieved my consent for a test she decided to run anyway from blood given for a different test. She is not caring or involved with her patients.

Terribly Unprofessional

Dr. Paula S. Youngdahl did not recognize or help me manage chronic pelvic pain.  She conducted a swab test on me and diagnosed recurrent infections.  She prescribed a years worth of antifungal medication despite the fact that outside lab results showed no infection.  The negative results were brought to my attention when I visited a different gynecologist.  His jaw dropped and his eyes looked to mine for answers when he read my medical history.  He was in shock that Youngdahl prescribed medication to me despite no confirmation of infection.  She ignored my symptoms and created a diagnosis that was convenient for herself to treat.  I found Youngdahl to be a pseudo-caring professional.  She is soft-spoken and maintains eye-contact, but is a truly an impatient caregiver.  The pelvic examinations I received from her were unusually rushed and painful.  She is said to treat a pain condition called vulvodynia with which I am now diagnosed.  However, while I was under her care she did not recognize this and placed the source of my pain on an infection I did not have.   I am a young woman and this was my first experience with a gynecologist.  I would not wish this experience on any patient of any age.   I am fortunate to have recovered from the emotional turmoil of a selfish medical professional.  This experience has made me more grateful for the ethical gynecologists I now visit.
