Story

Trina Health of Arizona is a treatment clinic that helps diabetic patients, type 1 or 2, to fight the secondary complications of diabetes. By using Artificial Pancreas Treatment or APT, Trina Health may provide the patient with: increased energy, restored nerve function, reduced high blood pressure, healing of wounds and diabetic ulcers, stopped kidney and eye damage and improved sexual function.

APT has been in development for the last 27 years and is not a replacement for a diabetic’s current course of treatment, but rather an important addition. Patients on the treatment often see a decrease in the amount of insulin they take daily.

A typical treatment involves the patient coming to one of the Trina clinics where they receive a combination of glucose and insulin while sitting in one of our comfortable treatment chairs. APT uses a proprietary intravenous insulin pump that is FDA cleared to deliver the insulin into the bloodstream, thereby reaching the liver as a pulse. It is this pulse of insulin, hitting the liver at the same time that the glucose reaches it that mimics a health “normal” pancreas. This treatment is given about once a week for the rest of the patient’s life.

Every diabetic knows that tight blood sugar control, diet and/or exercise will not reverse the complications of diabetes. APT is the only therapy that addresses the core problem that is diabetes, the inability to properly metabolize carbohydrates.
