True Food Kitchen has some healthy options that compliment a menu their size (not too small, not too big). The flavors are thought out, and we'll balanced. The space is comfortable, tables are well spaced, and well lit. There is outdoor seating here! In the winter months the heaters do a reasonably good job of keeping you comfortable. The restrooms are above average and well kept. Overall, dining here is a great experience. The prices are a little steep, but they are mostly reasonable for the quality and quantity. I'd recommend True Food Kitchen to those looking for fresh, healthy options for a casual dining experience.

Had a reservation but when my wife got to True Food at 5:00pm was told we could not sit a booth since they were reserved. We had a reservation but that didn't seem to matter. Never even asked our name.  I told the host that we really wanted to sit next to each other instead of across from each other. It was Valentines Day and 5:00 so only 4 couples in the whole place.
Told we had to sit in at a table for two across from each other.   What a huge disappointment when we left at 6:00 and the place was still empty.  The meal was wonderful but the whole point was we wanted to sit together in a both or larger table.  I will not go back

The atmosphere was open with an airy sophisticated feel. The menu was unique offering a wide variety of healthy choices, everything from Poke Bowls to Speghetti Squash Casserole to Pizza!  The menu does occasionally rotate to continue to offer the most current, ripest in season ingredients. Our table enjoyed the Ancient Grains Bowl which was vegan and the Cashew Pad Thai which was gluten free. Both were packed with flavor!

The restaurant: Nice, open floor plan with high ceilings, simple and pleasant decor.  Mostly comfortable seating, wish they had actual booths and not half-booth-half-regular tables.  We arrived for a late lunch and were seated almost immediately.

The service:  Not great.  It took well over 10 minutes after being seated to get someone over to our table, and we waited another 5-10 minutes for a couple glasses of water (we asked for lemon in our water, never got it).  Our food also took quite a while to be served, much longer than I would've expected a burger and salad to take (25-30 mins?). She also botched our bill and had to reprint it.  Yes, a lot of small gripes, but they added up.

The food: Pretty good.  We shared a chicken salad (decent) and mushroom umami burger (excellent) with a side of sweet potato hash (would've been better but was cold on the plate).  I chased it with a honey lemonade that was very tasty.  Portions were smallish, I was still a bit hungry after finishing my meal.

Verdict: Three stars.  Although the food was overall good, it was on the pricey side for what you got.  Also, I should add that the waitress was likely totally overwhelmed- for some reason there were only two waitstaff on site, yet there was a fully staffed kitchen and two hosts at the front door. Management clearly misallocating resources, so the blame lies at their feet.  I may give this place one more try in the future, but beyond that I'll probably look elsewhere.

First time at this place and it might be one of my favorites.

I ordered the Hangover Rx ($6) to start and it is such a refreshing delicious drink.

I prefer the Kale salad with salmon and wow! So filling, perfect size, and all the flavors are so rich.

We were in the mood to indulge so we ordered the margarita pizza. I’m from NYC so I can’t just eat any pizza like I can in NYC.....this pizza is valid I promise! Dough was very very good and perfectly crisp.

Definitely coming back. Sorry I didnt take pics of the food. It looked too good to stop and take a pic lol😭
