Purchased a new car in 2014. The buying process was pretty smooth, but dealer would not honor any current *extra* promotions(Remote starter or winter tires with purchase of a new vehicle if I recall) as I was "lucky to get what I did" from my trade in. Their words. Despite that, I still decided to purchase the vehicle. They specifically asked me not to redo my loan through my credit union for 3-4 months to ensure they got "their kickback". Fine I get it, you need to make money, but seriously? I like to have all of my service work done at the same dealership that I bought the vehicle from if possible. Good will, familiarity and all that. That said, I had all of my services done with the dealership. Most of my interactions were positive. There were a handful of times where I could not get a call back on requests and definitely times where I was never contacted when work was completed as my car sat on the lot for days on end. I can only assume that these guys do not make notes in the system or talk to each other much. Any time I called and didn't talk to the same person the other person had NO CLUE what was going on. If it's not sales, these folks take days to get back to you, sometimes weeks. A short word on the provided "loaner" vehicles. The first one was fine, the second one was not. Car was dirty on the inside, wiper fluid and gas lights were on and I would be willing to bet that the tires would not pass an inspection as they were damn near bald. This was DURING THE WINTER! The car was not only unpleasant, but straight up dangerous in any snow or slush. The best part was that upon returning this second loaner vehicle it was immediately given to another customer. No one bothered to check it out. No one checked fluids or tires, nothing was checked. I made sure to return it as received. I can assure you the gas and wiper fluids were LOW. I can only assume this is why I received the car in the state that I did. When I mentioned this to a service employee at the service desk they could only muster a shrug. They didn't care and did not want to hear about it. I have now gotten rid of my Ford, getting about $3000 more for it in trade from a dealership up the road than I was offered at TSF. This was after the sales person "lectured" me about how I shouldn't expect what I was expecting for my trade in. 4/10 Will never do business with again. Please note that this review reflects my experience over the span of four years.

I went to Twin State Ford because I couldn't make payments through any of the local care dealers/garages in the area, so I resorted to going and checking out Twin State Ford in St. Johnsbury to see what they had to offer, and if they could be accommodating. I had formally talked with a sales professional who was very nice, very outgoing, and seemingly understanding to my, particular situation. However, two specific things that have completely turned me off to their services, 1) I told them that, until I decided on whether I would buy the car, I did not want a hard credit check done, and the salesman said they wouldn’t do that until I gave the go ahead. No sooner had 24 hours past and I got a notification saying Twin State Ford had performed a hard credit check on me and my credit score would be going down. Not cool Twin State! My other issue with this dealership, 2) is that when talking about price, I was told that I’d be paying just over $13,000 for the used car I was interested in. When I got home and did the math, that price did not include the interest rate, and I would be paying well over $16,000 for the car overall. I do not appreciate being lied to, or there to be hidden fees within the negotiated price. I would not recommend buying a car from Twin State, and if you choose to go there, don’t leave any stone unturned.

Stepdaughter went to Twin State unattended (spring 2017) to shop for a used car. They buried her in a new Fusion, financed through Ford Motor Credit, with a payment at least double what she could afford. As a result, she lost her apartment. She is about $12K upside down in her new car. Nothing illegal about this, but unethical and certainly not customer-centered. Anything for a number, right boys? Twin State Ford should be on Sen. Elizabeth Warren's watch list!

Everything went well. I liked the fact that James listened to what I wanted and didn't try to push me into getting something I didn't want.

I am only familiar with the Quick Lane service department, but I have always been treated very well and they are actually looking out for your safety (not just to make an extra dollar) with their complimentary vehicle inspection when having your car serviced.
