Got a quote from this company to move 13 pieces of home furniture only, no boxes or anything else. All they had to do was load the furniture onto the truck from a single story house, drive it less than 5 miles, unload it from the truck, carry it up 1 flight of stairs to a second story apartment and put it inside; no tear down or set up, only pickup and deliver. For 1 truck and 2 men to do this in a 4 hour period of time I was quoted an average of $500.00! Do the math. That is $125.00 per hour. My doctor doesn't charge that much! Instead, I rented a 15 foot U-Haul truck with built-in ramp, an appliance dolly, basic insurance, all for about $67.00 for 8 hours. I hired 2 friends for $10.00 an hour for 4 hours each. We were able to load a lot more than just the 13 pieces of home furniture, all kinds of boxes and personal items, drive the 4.8 miles, unload all the above into the new place in a 4 hour time frame. Total final cost was less than $150.00 in all. That is less than 30% of what I was quoted by 2 Men & A Truck and for them to do a lot less work. This is not fiction, it is fact! Do yourself a huge favor and go to U-Haul instead!
UPDATE:
I find the Response From The Owner laughable in it's attempt at shameless self-promoting as "The Movers That Care", and it's quote of a "96% Referral Rate" as a means to rebut my review. Does this somehow justify as an explanation the ridiculous rate quote you gave me? I fail to make the connection. And I see from your own admission from a "response" to another review, that your "Referral Rate" has dropped from a 98.7% in just 4 months. That's 2.7%. That's quite a bit. By the way, where are you getting your statistics from to make these alligations? I'm sure others would like to know as well. Furthermore, when I spoke with the lady representative over the phone about my quote, and I expressed to her that this quote was ridiculously way too high, she did not attempt to show any concern towards my opinion, nor did she attempt to work with me to find any other possible solutions. Instead, she gave off the distinct impression that she flatly did not care at all, and simply hung up. I don't know if anyone else agrees with this statement too, but I for one see you loosing business and that you, and your representatives, really don't care about that fact, or the satisfaction of the possible customer. You can say whatever you like, and make all kinds of quotes and alligations, but when it comes right down to it, the proof is in the actions and not the words. Having been a successful business owner myself for over 9 years with a customer satisfaction rate of 100% (data gathered by the Chamber Of Commerce and the BBB), may I give you a suggestion and a piece of advice? Word of mouth is much more important and stronger than any advertisement or shameless attempt at self-promoting. Your company is only as good as it's employees, representatives, and product. I wish you better luck in your endeavors.

Two men and a truck are a company you can trust with your moving needs. They are on time,  courteous and willing to do anything you ask of them. We have used them many times and each crew is the same in their respect for you and your needs. They are doing it with excellence. Their prices are fair and competitive. We will use them again.

The two guys that helped us move today were so great.  They were really quick and took care of our furniture as if it was their own.  Really  happy we chose Two Men and a Truck!
