Since 1974, Union Lake Veterinary Hospital has been providing pets in Waterford, West Bloomfield, and surrounding areas with state-of-the-art veterinary medical care. We are open seven days a week for your convenience and offer a range of other pet services that include doggy daycare, pet boarding, pet grooming, and pet training services. We offer traditional veterinary care as well as alternative and complementary therapies like chiropractic, acupuncture and Chinese and herbal therapies. We are also home to Michigan’s first, finest, and most comprehensive pet rehabilitation center.

Our baby Benny was a 14 1/2 year old chow. He was an awesome little puppy. As he got older, his health started to deteriorate and he eventually, he got to the point that all pet lovers hate. His last day of life, he woke up but couldn't stand up and that was when we knew that it was time. I called my vet as well as many other pet care facilities and nobody would help us. They said "you need to make an appointment ". Union Lake Veterinary Hospital, with out hesitation, said "bring him in,  we'll get him in" and when we got there, they had a room waiting. This was amazing to me because I have never been there before, but they treated us like we were loyal, long term clients. I thank them so much for helping us in this extremely difficult situation. I will probably go to them for all of my pet needs from now on. The whole staff was caring, friendly, and couldn't have been more helpful.

We’ve been so impressed with the training team at ULVH.  The head trainer and her entire staff have been patient and flexible working with us to find solutions to help our rescue dog overcome her fears of new spaces and other dogs.  Our once fearful pet has become a happy and confident girl thanks to their dedication to her.  If you are looking for a great veterinarian and training team, please reach out to ULVH.  Regardless of your schedule or budget, they will find a way to work with you and your pets for the best outcome.

The friendly and knowledgeable staff are worth the trip alone -- from the moment you walk in, you are greeted by people who are willing to do as much for your pet as you are.  My nervous cats have thoroughly enjoyed treats, catnip, warm towels, towels spritzed with calming pheromones, and quiet exam rooms all in the name of keeping them comfortable during the visit. I appreciate the outstanding days/hours,  since I am able to go after work or on the weekend without needing to take a day off. Plus, there are lots of available services (boarding, food/medicine purchased in house, grooming, training, etc.). I've used medical boarding for two years now with one of my cats, and I am always beyond impressed by the care (and love) he receives while I'm gone.

We tried several vets in the lakes area before coming to ULVH. We have multiple cats, and until recently, had dogs as well. We've always received excellent care from the vets and technicians at ULVH, and they were compassionate and kind when we unexpectedly lost two of our pets on two consecutive days. They're also great at staying on top of records and upcoming needs, unlike some of the other vets we've seen. Dr. Herdon and Dr. Erb are especially wonderful with our cats, and Dr. Marti and Dr. Anchill have been fantastic as well. We are extremely appreciative of the fact that their hours accommodate work schedules with evening and weekend hours. They're very good about getting us in quickly for any urgent issues and referring to specialists to make sure our pets receive the best care. The office staff are equally great.

I would like to thank you all for helping us with the transition of our family member Sis E Cat... You folks went way beyond what I have come to know as UNCARING SERVICE, you treated us like we were your family and for that I can never say THANK YOU enough. You gave my wife the ability to be there with her Sis till the end and cared enough to let her stay and comfort Sis in the last moments they would have together. I am a big rough and tough guy but you folks brought me to tears in the care you gave us all... THANK YOU again, Sis E Cat Knapp will be truly missed but it is good to know there are folks still out there who care for even the smallest of our lives... Thank You Mark, Dee, Lily and Sis E Cat Knapp
