Sent my package back due to the carrier basically being lazy and assuming the name was wrong for the mailbox. Was told I would get a response to my issue within 1 business day. It took them 3 days to respond (had they responded in ONE day, this could have been avoided)- they left a voicemail saying to call back at 8am so they could talk to the carrier. They don't even open until 9am. No one answered until almost 10am. The staff (two different people) were rude to me and basically made it sound like this was my fault. I still have no idea where my package is and it is a time sensitive item. I paid 10$ extra for shipping for them to lose my stuff basically and then they marked my case as resolved before I had even talked to anyone...then had the nerve to send me a satisfaction survey. Unbelievable. Thanks for absolutely nothing.

Robert at this location was excellent. Personable and efficient. The line was long, but he kept his composure. 10/10 customer service. Thank you Robert!

The mail delivery out of this office is about as bad as you could imagine. The substitute carriers are not trained at all as far as I can tell, and often the staff won't answer the phone or if they do, they don't fix whatever the problem is. I suspect poor leadership. I hope the postmaster reads these reviews, but I really doubt it. This has been going on for far too long. There is one star checked, but only because you can't give a zero star rating. That is definitely a flaw in the rating system. Math without zero. An average that can't include zero is falsely inflated. Come on, Google.

The incompetence as far as mail delivery is staggering! Our mail has been delivered so frequently to the same wrong address, on a completely different street, and vice versa, that we have actually exchanged phone numbers to contact each other regarding our missing mail. Packages we are waiting for are, more often than not, marked as delivered when we have not received them. After checking and finding that our new mail buddy doesn't have them, we then contact the post office, who finally manages to locate the allegedly already delivered package and always has some feeble explanation. The same thing applies to scheduled package pickups. We come home to find the package still sitting on our porch while the system shows that the package was picked up, complete with confirmation #! It seems that we have no regular mail carrier assigned to our neighborhood, as we rarely see the same person and the delivery time varies immensely. There have also been many days where mail for several neighbors is sitting in my box, so I become the carrier. I'm reviewing here, because I'm not sure where else to vent. It's insane!!

I went for the walk-in passport service. From what i understand from the Lorton branch this is one of two in the NOVA region that allow walk-ins. That should be enough for a five star but the passport facility is obviously an afterthought and they need more employees. The woman who helped me was knowledgeable and pleasant. Fun to talk to in fact. Even she said they are understaffed. She said today was an anomally - i got through in less than an hour and there were ten people in front of me. She says normally people will start lining up at 6AM and there will be a line of 50-70 people all day long. There is no bathroom nor water fountain. This is the Woodbridge branch.
