At the actual location the clerks are usually friendly. The mail men and women however are not so consistent. Whoever delivers mail Monday- Thursday to 45 Broadway apartment building on the north side of Freeport does a pretty good job delivering on time and in the correct mailboxes and even goes the extra mile to deliver to the door if the package is too big. Whoever delivers Friday however, mail is always misplaced and missing. I track my all my packages, so I see the pattern. I received an email stating my package was delivered, usually these are to exact minute supposedly right? She already got the mail so when the email came in and she went back down there was nothing. I hope Whoever is stealing mail gets caught and fired. Because even if they didn't steal it, the volume of times things are lost and misplaced is ridiculous. When things are misplaced on a Friday you can only resolve it on a limited amount of time Saturday, until Monday comes around your stuff could be literally anywhere. My neighbors always return misplaced items my parents have lived there many years and know everyone. This issue is with a particular post office staff. I wish they'd answer the damn phone too.

Counter people are all very helpful and nice, and while I don't usually require extra attention, I have seen it given with a smile to people who have.

I would just like to voice my very high opinion of the Freeport post office, I have lived on Long Island my whole 51 years of life, and I've always lived in Nassau County, I've lived in many different towns, and although I've never had any bad experiences at any of the post offices, But to me Freeport stands out the most, and by that I mean every employee there that I've come in contact with there, has been kind, courteous, they always seem to be bright, and good disposition, helpful, whether I'm purchasing money orders, stamps, picking up packages, I applied for my passport there, and it's always a pleasure, and I live at 85 N. Long beach ave Apt 1 G Freeport, and even our regular postman first name is Bert, he also is kind and very courteous, so with that being said, I just want to say Thank you to all the employees at the Freeport Post Office, in Freeport, NY
