If I could rate them a zero, I would. And not just for this location, but USPS in general. I have waited and waited for a package to be delivered. Even signed up for notifications if it was being delivered, did not receive ANY. Checked the online tracking and received a "we attempted to deliver" notification. Canned the 1-800 number and was told on USPS voiceline that my package was in Lenoir City. Where it was suppose to be 5 days ago and was re-routed to a forwarding address to Oak Ridge via Atlanta, Georgia. (Keep in mind I paid to have this shipped to my Dad's in Lenoir City via UPS and they sent it to USPS in Maryville a week ago.) The last package I received was sent the same and made it to me in 5 days (just two weeks ago) in Lenoir City. However now they decided to redistribute it because of the forwarding address I had set up for mail back in June! So I'm trying to find out what time the office is open, since I live 30 miles away from that location. While I am on the phone getting the hours, I check the mail and find a letter showing it's at Oak Ridge. This whole experience has just been terrible!! I'm never ordering UPS of via USPS for shipping again. I have never been so annoyed. And while waiting an hour for my phone call to be answered this week just to get a "well it should be there in 3-6 days. Somewhere around there" is RIDICULOUS! Oh, and to top that off the letter says I'm to pay $8.50?! Um no, I already paid and you all FAILED. I'm not paying any more!

This is the main Oak Ridge Post Office that is open to the public. The other building, that google maps points everyone to first, is located near the mall and Walmart. No, no, no... That is only a sorting / distribution hub and is not open to the public. If you go there you will be treated poorly.

If I could given the post office a zero I would have I've been dealing with them since April 12th talking to Joyce the manager there... they stated that they delivered a package to me on April 8th it wasn't even scanned on my road and I never received it when I called them and told them about an awesome what they're going to do about it she told me she was going to look into it almost a month later she couldn't return a phone call after I called and left four messages for her to call me back, once I finally called her back again she couldn't remember even helping me the first time and told me she'd call me back later that the next day when she did she told me that there's nothing she can do because they had scanned it and she must have dropped it off at the wrong mailbox and nobody else had turned it and it's not their fault that I have to deal with it with the shipping company... not their fault how the hell is it not their fault when they are the ones that didn't deliver it and now I'm paying for something that I don't even have they told me that the people shipping it should have to pay for it... which of course the company won't because it's not their fault it's supposed office is fault and then don't know how to do their own damn job that is freaking sad I'm never doing with the Oak Ridge Post Office again ever and I suggest you never deal with them either.

I'm SO tired of them making me go to the Post Office to pick up a certified letter when I was HOME when they originally brought it! I work odd hours, and it's difficult to go to the post office to pick up this certified letter during business hours. When you go down there you have to stand in line forever, because half of the staff seems to always be at lunch, even at 3 in the afternoon! Then they make you fill out several screens of information, despite having already completed the form! I'd rather deal with UPS or FedEx.

I had left a package in my mailbox to be picked up on Friday and it WAS ready to go with the Return package label on it with a duplicate set stuck in the flap incase the top label was damaged for any reason. I came home on Friday to find the box still in my mail box. I took the duplicate copies out of the flap and then left a note that I left this in the mail box and if the box would have been pulled all the way out of the box he would have seen that it was ready to go with the label taped ontop and that in the future to pay better attention. On Saturday the mail carrier slammed his fist on our door repeatedly until we opened the door. The mail carrier became very confrontational with me and was yelling at me on my front lawn. I began backing my way back into my house as he was frightening me and making me feel extremely uncomfortable. As he was yelling at me he was saying that the package wasnt picked up Friday because it wasnt ready and either needed return to sender, refuse the package or return package info on the top and that I shouldnt have every put a note on the box and he kept repeating himself and I kept backing myself back into my house to the point that I had my storm door only open by four inches while he was still yelling at me and this was due to the fact he kept moving towards me. I didnt want this to go on any further so I said ok and then shut my door. I immediately looked up the number for the oak ridge post office phone number only to see that it was closed already. I went thru the USPS website to launch my complaint and I WILL be calling on Monday to ask for the manager and ask for this postal carrier to be removed from my route as i now feel very unsafe. We have had nothing but problems with this mail carrier as we always get someone elses mail in our mailbox or my neighbors get our mail on the days that he delivers. On the day that the female mail carrier delivers we NEVER have a problem ever. The male mail carrier that came to my door was so hostile that he truly frightened me the fact that he knows where I live and could always come back and do harm is in the back of my mind.
