Still can't pay truck payment online after 2 months of trying to set up account. Have to call AND pay fee EVERY time because I can't set up an external account. These guys will rip you off

No one answers the phone when you're on hold. No one calls back when you leave a message after being on hold. Did not send at all or didn't send a new card when they said they sent a new card. Stuck without access to any of my funds due to hacking whilst waiting on a card to arrive that has now taken 5 days without making it 3hrs down the interstate.

These guys stink. Hidden fees on checking! Beware!

I am extremely disappointed. I went with a credit union in the hopes that they would be more understanding than a big bank, only to find I now face MORE FEES and charges than when I was with 5/3rd, and 5/3rd was way more understanding (but, I'll openly admit I haven't used 5/3rd in a few years, so their policies may have changed). I'm paid monthly, so the last days of the month are always scarce. I overdrew my account (and, BTW, never received a text message about this). Part of the problem is slow processing times (as reported by other people) and part, admittedly, is poor budgeting my me. My account was overdrawn for MAYBE 24 hours. I put in money, then was paid a day after that about $2,500. They insisted, since they had waived a fee earlier, that they could not waive this fee more than one a year (the fact that I put $ in as soon as I found out didn't matter). Also, if you use your debit card and don't use it as a credit card, you will be charged $1.25 for each transaction. I was told this, but forgot, until I got a $16 fee for using my debit card to access money in my account. I guess it didn't sink in to me that I could get fined for using my own debit card, even if I had $ in my account. They "waive" the first $10 of this, but if you forget, it doesn't matter. You're still screwed. I had been using my debit card all month to not add to my credit debt, not realizing I was going to hammered for this. Further, their overdraft "protection" is to pull $ from savings. Cool. But, they charge you $5 to move your own money from one account to another. At 5/3rd, this was free. I spent most of the last few years in China and UICCU makes Chinese banks look generous. As soon as I pay off my credit card, I'm out.

I had hard time opening checkings account with other bank I have tried. Not having enough good score I was turned down, till I walked in UICCU. Eldon Snyder helped me open savings account, explaining to me who I can talk about getting my credit in order. Also that I can start my children's savings accounts. He helped me get my paperwork notarized too. Checking my account online is very easy and simple. Thank you.
