My 88 father is retired from the UM faculty. His bill for his parking pass was sent to the wrong address, after at least two years of living at a new address. Last year's parking bill went to the correct address, so the university knows his location. His parking pass did not work to enter a UM lot due to the mailing error of your office. A colleague let my father into the parking structure using his own parking pass. My father cleared up the misdirected bill by phone and was assured that he could leave the parking garage in a few minutes with his activated pass. Instead the parking person who had promised to activate his parking pass, forgot to process his bill and activate his pass. My elderly father was trapped in the parking garage at the UM!!!! He ended up walking 1.5 hours home because of your incompetent parking services. I hope you identify this employee and offer my father free parking for the rest of his life. This treatment is completely unacceptable. I award your office zero stars but in order to be sure this comment registers, I'm selecting one star.
