Lots of information. Inspiring in what one person can envision. Encouraging in that he never accepted government money. Few people can make that claim these days.

I like how the Crazy Horse memorial has way more to see and do than Mt. Rushmore. You can watch a short film that explains how the memorial got its start, learn info about the sculptor and his family, and hear about the plans for the grounds. There are native artifacts, art, etc. in the on-site museum, if that's of interest to you (my friend and I skipped this part). The entrance fee is expensive, but it's because the memorial has never accepted government funds. This is something worth seeing once!
