Why oh why oh why?!?! Are the employees of this particular branch so angry and aggressive to the community looking to mail things. This is the whole job. Be pleasant, efficient, helpful and mail stuff. We live here and have a business here. My husband just took really important boxes up there he’s a very nice guy and asked if he was using the correct postage for these boxes we are sending a bunch - she just kept saying to him “I don’t know” regarding the postage. Then he asked ok well can you just confirm the weight at which point they began going back and forth over the weight. And it was completely unpleasant and unnecessary in our day. In a time when everyone is running a little hot. Please help make these people less miserable and hateful to customers. Or assist them in moving on. Dealing with humans is going to be part of the postal service so if you hire a person who can’t assist people you have failed. Generally speaking a customer interfacing job requires some basic set of custom service skills.
Having a problem at another post office. Called talked with post master general or supervisor. Told her my business mail was being opened and place in another envelope with a note. She was very nasty said she was having problems at the 12 mile location and would look into it and get back with me but not today in about 2 to 4 days. Well she hasn't called.i called and a disconnect. So i callthe other post office and she knowd who i am callef me by name said no mail wad open it was i took it to the front desk. We don't open mail we don't want to loose our jobs same as she told me yesterday. Nasy condesening unprofessional people who make mistakes and blame the customer. Nobody had looked into my complaint just look at the reviews.
Went there on the 29th of March for a passport appointment after getting appointments after appointments cancelled in Detroit, was late due to traffic , lady Deabra was very welcoming and squeezed me in. I appreciate it and I didn’t have all my stuff together, she helped me put my papers together and explained somethings to me , that’s good customer service, as a manager of a customer service group myself, I was very grateful that I didn’t have to reschedule, thank you deabra, loved your hair and overall appearance! Young lady that works the window in red wig is very much not nice, need to work in the back in your cheap looking wig , miss Deabra giving you a run for your money up in there , maybe that’s why you mean to people at the window.
Today was my first visit to the post office since moving to Michigan a few weeks ago! There was only one person in front of me and one employee was off to the side, gathering some drop offs. She turned to me and asked if I needed help and I said yes! I just had some pre-paid drop offs! I had scheduled a pick up but it was Saturday and 3pm came and went with no sign of my mail carrier so I was getting a little concerned. I figured I'd check out our post office. Back home I'd schedule pick ups and my mail carrier would NEVER pick up so I have a little anxiety about it. Anyway, Kimberly was pleasant and said hi back to my toddler as many times as my kiddo said hi to her. She had a great attitude and assisted me expeditiously. On to the metered parking...everywhere you go has metered parking which is so strange. Back home we didn't have a meter for the library or post office or other necessary places so I was confused. The first 15 minutes are FREE. I hope that helps! I usually just need to drop off pre-paid packages.
I'm actually taking the time to rate the post office, that's how bad they are. Moved here 3 months ago. Still getting mail addressed to previous homeowner despite their forwarding request. Mail is always slower to arrive than it was in Atlanta. Unreliable.
The ladies at this location have always greeted me with a smile and often by name. I'm in there during business hours 3 or 4 times a month for the last 7 years and they appear to be hardworking. In that time, I've never felt like I needed to post a negative review so when I was looking for their operating hours it occurred that I should post this positive review. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because I hate parking. The meters out front are horrible because it's not possible to run in & out without dorms more than pocket change. The saving grace is that you can park in the deck without paying but sometimes finding a spot can be tricky.
Never had any problems here. There’s a great self-service center of the post office that you can access even when the post office is closed. If your comfortable with the machine they have which is fairly easy to use you can do a ton of normal post office stuff just using that. Much shorter line!! You can also drop pre-posted packages inside safely.
Just throwing in a good vibe I want to say I respect all the hard working United States Postal Service workers do for a fraction of the fee of UPS or FedEx
Dropped off over 100 thank you cards following my wedding most of which that had local addresses on October 3rd. Not a single one of the recepients received over a month later, it is now November 9th. Opened numerous claims which were closed without resolution… have called and left messages with with customer affairs locally with no help. I will never ever ever visit the Royal Oak location again.
It was a quick and easy visit to this post office for some packages I had to ship out. There were only a few people in front of me so my wait time was not too long as per the usual USPS wait time, and that is how any visit to the post office should be.
