Given that there were 22 people in the waiting area and I arrived without an appointment, I thought that waiting for just over an hour and half seemed acceptable for a wait time. The representative who assisted me was very friendly, knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions and concerns. My suggestion though is to make an appointment in advance!

I had an absolutely horrible nightmare experience with the Lynnwood office. I wish you could give them 5 rotten tomatoes instead of stars! Please do not trust this office with your original documents. If you HAVE to go, go in-person, so they do not have to handle your documents out of your view with their butterfingers! I made the unfortunate mistake of mailing in my original documents per the instructions on the SS website...which is exactly what you are supposed to do if you read the website. At first 6 weeks passed and I heard nothing. I started to worry so I called the office. It turns out someone "accidentally put my paperwork in the wrong pile" was what I was told. So then I waited an extra 2 weeks to receive my SS Card. So now, its been 8 weeks. When I received my original documents in the mail from them, I was missing the most important one of all to me, the one I needed to prove my identity with to get my WA Driver's License. I called the Lynnwood office and they blatantly lied to try to cover up their irresponsibility of the matter, they said "You never sent that document". To complete the process of my name change that document was required, so how then did you legally change my name??!?! To add frustration to all of this, I am flying in 3 weeks and cannot prove my identity to the airport now either. I don't know if there is another office available in this area, but please save yourself the trouble of this happening to you and use somewhere else if you need to mail in important documents. Someone at this office is completely incompetent lacking the ability and organization skills to keep track of something as simple as the incoming mail!! I am very upset!

Long wait at times but they are the most productive of all government offices given all the cutbacks that have been done to them

I hate this place they won't let you use your phone in the lobby yet if you go outside to take a call they skip over your number after waiting there for 2 hours what a joke clearly government jobs skills or intellect the only thing they're rent-a-cop security guard can say is take a number
