I would like to know why a person who receives retirement benefits after working for 35 years  is not allowed to receive Social Security benefits when they have reached the age of 62 ..it seems as though I am being penalized for working in a retirement system and not a system that deducted social security funds and benefits.. and those who have never worked collects SS funds and benefits every month...I think it is totally  unfair.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place somehow made a mistake and put me as deceased. My only income is my social security cause I'm disabled. I've been dead as of November 24th 2017. Well I went to the office in December cause of receiving phone calls from family members to see if I was dead and when I got there they didn't show concern and acting like it was nothing. They lied and said they were going to take care of it that day and they didn't. It's been 2 going on 3 months and I haven't received any money and I lost my house.And my bank account is overdrawn the exact same amount of money that I receive every month,they put the money in my account then took it right back and I never touched the money. I finally contacted the state Senate for help and when they called 3 days ago to show their concern... They were informed that the SSI office had just that day started trying to fix my issue.This has completely ruined my life!!!

I went here(930 am) and was informed to get a replacement SS card I could wait in line and they would only see people until the closing time anyone left over would have to come back tomorrow or I could call and make an appointment. Considering i sat there for 2 hours ,and the line i was in was 16 people long, and they called 1 person before i gave up i didnt have much hope of being seen that day. So i called said number was told i would be on hold for 45 to 55 minutes. Waited. Finally someone answers. "We dont do appointments for social security card replacement it is walk in first come first serve only"

In Florida you can make appointments ,this is ridiculous that something that would take one of their employees 5 minutes to complete(as you have to come with the form prefilled or they wont see you) and i cant make an appointment for it.
