Utah Highway Patrol officers are great, and I'm glad we have them. I was pulled over on I-15 south bound this afternoon due to expired registration. The officer (Badge ID: 569) was courteous, professional, and transparent. I fully understood what the officer needed me to know to help keep myself and others safe on the road. I appreciate knowing we have such awesome officers on our UHP who are willing to go the extra mile to keep our highways safe, keep drivers accountable, and are willing to give us the benefit of the doubt.

After a wreck involving an 18 wheeler, we where stuck on 6W in our own rig. No officer we can't turn around. Ridiculous request. We woke up around 2am by the sound of traffic. The road was finally open. We, along with other stranded trucks where parked in the driving lane going toward SLC. No one bothered to wake us up. Any one of us could have been hit and possibly killed. Very scary to think that highway patrol didn't deem it necessary to let us know the road was reopened and to get out of driving lane.

I was stopped by an amazing trooper. He listened, informed, was courteous and professional. I was in the wrong but was never made to feel disrespected. Thank you to these men and women in uniform for all they do.

I have experienced very poor customer service the few times I've dealt with or spoken to Utah Highway Patrol. I'm always polite, but regardless, to me it always seems like they want to prove they're right, rather than just shutting up and listening to me. It's like talking to a brick wall, I never get anywhere productive. Also interesting that when I wrote this review, a non-descript person going by the name of "Toyota Tacoma 411" says the customer service is good. While it's impossible to know for sure who is hiding under an alias, I'm willing to bet it's someone who works for Highway Patrol. **UPDATE 3-19-2016** I was again harassed by Highway Patrol. A UHP followed me all the way from 1600 N Lindon, through Orem, and into Vineyard. He tried to run me off the road and caused a near collision when lanes merged when he cut in front of me. Then followed me for 20-25 minutes, everywhere I went. I switched lanes, he switched lanes. I slowed down, he slowed down, I turned onto a different road, he followed me and did the same. I finally was freaked out enough that I pulled over, thinking there way some kind of problem. So he pulled over in front of me on the side of the road, but did not flash his lights, and he waited for me to get back on the road, which then he proceeded to follow me again. I had to call 911 to get him to stop following me. I pulled into the Megaplex in Vineyard and waited for him to leave, because I was concerned for my safety. Under no circumstances should anyone trust a UHP officer. Ever. If you get pulled over, I suggest for your own safety, that you ask for another UHP or police car to come as well. Utah police are becoming very CORRUPT!
