I have had to ask for the help of these amazing officers several times over the course of the last year and a half for all sorts of stuff that kids get caught doing where I work. Every single time the officers were very timely, and genuinely cared about the students they serve. even the ones at fault A lot of the time we decide not to press charges, but rather to ask the officer to give the student a warning, or a citation if appropriate. Because we all care about the students. Lastly I have noticed that almost all of the bad reviews here are from people that broke a law, or a USU policy. And to that I say shame on you for putting a negative review on a police department for doing their job. These are some of the nicest, and kindest officers I have ever met. They walk women home in the night if they ask, they care to keep students safe and protected at school events, and they have to deal with rude college kids that get mad at them for daring to serve as a protector of the law.
My wife’s bike got stolen on campus when I forgot to lock it up. Even though it was an inexpensive bike the USU Police did everything they could to get it back. Two days later Officer Mark Robinson called me and told me to come down to the station because he had got my wife’s bike back! Police officers get a lot of negative press right now but they provide so much for our communities. I know the issue they helped us solve was small this time but their actions go to show that they care about the people they serve.
Amazing officers!! We had an incident on campus recently. Officers were contacted and they responded quickly. They were able to diffuse a situation that had escalated into something dangerous. The way in which they dealt with this individual was professional, compassionate and to the point. Everything about how they handled to situation was perfect. Thank you!
I was criminally charged by these jerks for something that I did not even know had happened and was not party to after I had filed a complaint against a very discriminatory professor with the Office of Equities. These "police" are extremely biased and discriminatory and the Chief Morris and Captain Harris stand behind their investigators Erik Christensen in particular biased, bigoted, and discriminatory "investigations," abuse of processes, abuse of power, and malicious prosecution tactics. Even after Cache County prosecution admitted on record that they made a mistake even filing the charges against you and they dismiss them with prejudice because the of the false police report they were given, the department refuses to investigate the crimes against you and still stands behind their bigoted beliefs and unbelievably discriminatory practices that have just destroyed your life, family, and livelihood.
They use unmarked police cars to extort money from people. Police cars should be marked. Those lame transparent decals that are only visible with the lights flashing should be illegal. We need police who help people, not road pirates. Edit: I was not personally cited. I will raise my review by two stars because I do value a lot a lot of the resources they they offer to students. But I'll still be mad about unmarked police cars.
The officers I met with were very kind and always willing to help.
You dropped the ball and a student who called for your help was failed another example of the law failing the people its suppose to protect
They let you rent a space to store your gun if you live on campus. Always seemed friendly to me, even when we had noise complaints...
One of the girls that works the front desk for fingerprinting was very rude to me and the girl in front of me I talked with someone about it who handled it well and my next visit went much better!
Poor excuse for a police department
