I had outpatient surgery here. It was a struggle to find where to go for the surgery- the building is very confusing and no one seems to know where things are. That said, once found, the outpatient surgery center was nice and clean. Every nurse I spoke to was efficient and kind. I felt I got good explainations from my nurses. My surgeon's bedside manner wasn't the best, but as far as I can tell, he was very good at his job- and that is what matters. The hospital also addressed my pain well and made every effort to make me comfortable. My husband was allowed to stay with me for a good portion of my prep for surgery, making a stressful time less so. Overall, I'd recommend Valley Hospital- but get very clear instructions before you have to find anything there!

The nurses did not use hand washing just gloves. A few nurses never changed gloves from doing "dirty" to doing sterile to clean gloves. The floor is gross with old blue tape on the floor and Iv pole rusted and rust falling from it. Waited 6 plus hours for a room. Room nice and nurses were good. Again not changing gloves when when going to "dirty " to clean. Back from surgery into a dirty bed . Discharge was a joke ! Two doctors made arrangements about discharge on Thursday, no no they wanted my husband out NOW!!! He can take a cab home the discharge nurse told me! My husband had Mersa... I am at school and he is stressing because that discharge nurse was rude, uncaring, and stressed everyone out. Bad bad place only wants the money , not patient oriented.

No rest, Nurses give new medicine without letting you know what it is. Food taste bad for low salt eaters. No privacy. Nurses barge in after knocking real quick. Nurses talk to you like your a baby. They charge you for every little item you use and for some items I didn't use. Blankets are paper thin like a sheet so I was cold all night for a week..Overall experience wasn't very good. I could barely wait until I got checked out to get some relief. I see why patients get sicker in hospital setting.

I came in via ambulance with high fever, shortness of breath and pneumonia. My care has been top notch. More specifically once I was put in room. My nurse Michelle has been incredible, she is kind, helpful and truly has a wonderful bed side maner. I hope the bosses at valley treat her good because she treats the patients with the upmost care. Than k you so much Michelle for helping me to healthy.
