TO BEGIN WITH MY WIFE AND I SERVED AS NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH COORDINATORS FOR 25 YEARS. DURING THAT TIME WE SERVED PROUDLY AND HAD THE UTMOST RESPECT FOR THEM. THEN AS TIME WENT ON I PERSONALLY EXPERIENCED OVER TIME ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION THERE WERE THOSE OFFICERS WHO USED THAT AUTHORITY TO UNDERMIND US AS CITIZENS. HAVING THEIR OWN PERSONAL AGENDA LIES AND DISRESPECTFUL. SO WE "RESIGNED' FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH. NEVER FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AS I DID SOME TIME AGO THE OFFICER LIED AND SAID IT NEVER HAPPENED .''AN OFFICERS WORD WILL ALWAYS BE TAKEN OVER A PRIVATE CITIZENS" TAKE IT TO COUNCIL BY DOING SO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE IS AWARE OF THEIR ACTIONS/ SEE THE CITY MANAGER WHO IS OVER THE CHIEF OF POLICE . AND AS CITIZENS WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROTEST OUTSIDE THEIR BLG ON THE PUBLIC SIDEWALK THAT IS OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT . THERE ARE A FEW GOOD OFFICERS LEFT ONE IN PARTICULAR IS RETIRING SOON . I WILL NEVER HAVE THE RESPECT FOR THEIR DEPT AS I ONCE DID. ITS OBVIOUS WHY VANDALIA POLICE DO NOT WEAR BODY CAMS AND NO CAMERAS WITH AUDIO AND VIDEO IN STRATEGIC LOCATIONS OF THE POLICE DEPT EXAMPLE THE DISPATCH CENTER. THIS DEPT IS NO DIFFERENT FORM OTHERS IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.
