One of a few places to get groceries on the Island, this is can be a busy place.  They make great sandwiches and burritos (made to order) and there are a few places to sit outside.  Located right off the main road and near the Tacoma ferry, it is an easy place to find.

always the best produce, I got an onion the size of my hand the other day! they do a great job keeping it nice and tidy. staff are always so kind and helpful.

Great selection, more expensive than a typical grocery store, but much cleaner and more inviting than the other grocery store on the island. Also...free WiFi and made to order 🌯

We are so lucky to have a family-owned grocery store on Vashon. Many people will gripe about the prices at thriftway, but that is a short sighted view, imho. They treat their employees well from everything I've heard, and as a unionized store they get decent wages and health insurance. The selection is fantastic and if there's something you want but can't find, they'll order it immediately.  Thanks to the Matthews Family for all that you do for Vashon!
