My family brought our dog to this clinic to say goodbye to him on a Saturday with very short notice. The super compassionate front desk staff brought us into a room with a rug, chair, and couch that was very comfortable. Dr. Bresolin came in and sat on the floor while my mom and the dog sat on the couch. He walked us through a thorough exam and explained the bone cancer in an informed and compassionate way. Our dog was living on borrowed time and in constant pain. We all were able to be there with him when he passed. They didn't mind at all how long we took in the room before and after. They encouraged us to take our time. They even let the dog stay on the couch with a pad under him. The front desk staff member (Cindy, I think) even gave us hugs when we left in tears. I can't thank them enough for making the loss of our family member less painful.

I am truly impressed. We went to our first appointment yesterday, of which qualified for a few free services and samples. Dr. Jonathan Bresolin was wonderful with our Coconut, 6-month old Pitbull Terrier, who is an overly hyper pup and he sat on the floor to play with her as he thoroughly walked me through what she needed. I told him I was on a budget and he made suggestions that fit my price range. And today I got a follow up call from him, not the receptionists, to make sure Coconut was feeling well after her vaccines. 5 stars!

Honestly, I feel bad for posting a negative review, but I believe this story could be helpful for other pet owners. We brought my 10-years old cat to this clinic (my daughter chose it due to its good reviews), as he had been breathing weird for a couple of weeks, with no fever though, showing decreased interest in food, that made him lose some weight, but otherwise in his habitual behavior and mood. He was seen by Dr. Biss, who was not able to hear the kitty’s lungs or heart as he was purring too loud, so he advised us to do a blood work, which, unfortunately, I could not afford at that moment. Even though Dr. assumed it was pneumonia, he dispensed Orbifloxacin, which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, just in case the cat had some other infection, wanting to see the him back if he wasn’t getting any better in 5 days. I have not met Dr. Biss (my daughter did, and she said he was very nice), and I want to say here that I believe his heart was in the right place. But what happened after, broke our hearts, and left us tortured by the feeling that we have murdered our little loving friend (that had been with us since the day he was born, and trusted us). The second we gave him the antibiotic (1.5 ml) later in the afternoon, our kitty started salivating abundantly, and choking. A few seconds later he peed himself and started fainting, and struggling to breathe. He never got back on his feet. He vomited or drooled bloody, and my daughter tried to blow air into his lungs but she said his throat was closing. From that moment, he just got worse and worse, struggling until he stopped moving, in no more than 10 minutes. He died asphyxiated in my helpless arms while my daughter was trying to drive as fast as she could to the closest animal hospital, that proved to be too far for him, anyway. Initially, when we realized it was not just a cat tantrum we tried calling the vet clinic, but it was already closed. There were no phone numbers for the doctors listed in the greeting message, so obviously we could not contact him to ask for advice in this emergency situation . The following day, we took our kitty to the clinic to talk to the Dr. and obtain an explanation. As Dr. Biss was not there, Dr. Bresolin agreed to talk to us instead. Although he was very nice, it was obvious to me that he tried to protect his peer, suggesting that the cat had most likely had a heart condition associated with pneumonia, and that he would’ve probably died anyway, and that since there were no tests to confirm the diagnoses, there was not much Dr. Biss could’ve done. Which makes sense. What doesn’t make sense, is that, regardless, the Dr. Biss recommended a treatment that we followed, and we ended up killing our cat. I am aware that was not his intention, and I am not trying to suggest he is a bad doctor (I do not know Dr. Biss, it was our first time there) but I believe that as an experimented veterinary doctor, he should’ve known better. He should’ve at least warned us about a possible reaction, or advise my daughter to give the cat the medication on the spot, at the clinic, where he could’ve been observed and given the first aid in case something bad happened, or maybe dispense a less aggressive medication at that moment, or no medication at all if he considered the cat was too sick or too weak to receive any (which he wasn’t). Also, I believe a courtesy call from the Dr. would’ve been a nice and maybe a professional thing to do. Posting this, as a warning for other pet owners that receive medication for their pets is the least I can do so our kitty didn’t die for nothing. Please, if it is the first time your pet receives a certain medication, try to give it to him/her at the vet clinic. Cristina PS. Just to clarify this. My cat basically walked in the clinic in a leash, happy. He did not die because the treatment did not work. He died because he had a reaction to the medication that was given to him.

I removed my previous review, and I can see that a manager replied to my review I had. I don't want to leave something very negative about the place, as I only went there one time. And, I realize places like that can be busy and overwhelming for staff. Thank you for your response and time.
