Red Coon Hound of Awesomeness!!!
Winny, now 9, has had a lifetime of rollercoaster health. At least once a year, her paws would flair up and get puss. Her skin would get soars and patches of her hair would fall out. Our regular vet ran many blood tests, and nothing would come back with any true result we could follow. We were  just prescribed some pills that would slightly suppress the problem, but no real understanding of what was going on. Then we took her to a holistic vet that suggested a raw meat diet and a lot of supplements. That slowly started showing results, but it was very costly. 
When we finally contacted Dr. Mills, Winny was in a full blown allergenic mess. Open soars, puss, loss of hair. You would think we were bad dog parents, but we were doing everything that we knew what to do. We were just uneducated. We found out that everything that we were trying to do to get her better, was only making her worse. The first time you and your pet meet with Dr. Mills, he sets aside an hour and a half to really get to the root of what might be the leading cause of irritation. He came up with many options for us that fit Winny’s needs while considering what we could afford. When we settled on a definite path, her health started improving within the week. We would get follow-up calls from Dr. Mills, personally, to get updates on how the treatment was going. Dr. Mills and his staff really care about each individual animal that they see, that is what has impressed me the most. Winny is doing so much better now. Chasing balls, tug of war and howling at every squirrel that dare enter our yard. I know that she will never be cured of her illness, but I feel that she has so much more life left in her, since we found Dr. Mills.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. First of all, the doctor shoved my dog pretty hard to the ground after we waited 15 minutes to be seen. My dog was excited, and after he got pushed his excitement turned to fear. 

The doctor is not organized at all, and because of that we were rambled at for nearly 2 hours. He failed to mention the side affects of the medication he prescribed UNTIL I asked what they were. He even was talking about putting him on Apoquel on the first visit. 

If you’re looking for a place that is full of bandaids (steroids for a lifetime, Apoquel, prescription diets) this is the place for you. I spent too much money here and I wish I would have researched better before scheduling my appointment.

OMG; Dr. Mills and Eva are my life savers or should I say Dodges life savers.
I adopted a rescue German Shepherd who had very bad allergies to the environment. After checking cost and procedures on test for allergies in my fur baby Dodge. I decided to see Dr. Mills in Coon Rapids.
This was the best decision I ever made in caring for an animal.
We went through the skin testing, and started allergy shots of what he was allergic to right away along with a drug called apoquel, over a 18 month  process I seen a great improvement. At approximately 12 months Dodge was taken off apoquel and placed on a shot called citapoint. Citapoint has no side affects like apoquel does. Dodge is now done with his allergy shots and receives his Citapoint shot about every 5 to 6 weeks to control flare-ups.

Prier to having Dodge tested and treated he would have lesions and bruises along with swollen areas on his body. He would keep me up all night nibbling, scratching and licking.
Although the allergies will never go away, I have seen a 98% improvement.

Love Dr. Mills.  I have seen him for years, first with my Chow for allergies and now with my Bengal cat for allergies.  I would not go any place else. I want nothing but the best for my animals and that is Dr. Mills.

Words cannot describe how thankful we are for Dr. Mills! Our dog scout had some SERIOUS allergies in her early years. She would scratch her fur raw, bite her paws until they bled, and spend every day being completely miserable. My wife and I spent two years, along with countless vet visits and enormous bills trying to pinpoint the problem with Scout. Not one vet in the twin cities could correctly diagnose her, so she would continue being miserable day in and day out, scratching and biting herself for hours and hours. The only success we saw was giving her steroids on a continuous basis, which we knew were extremely detrimental to her health. Finally, we had enough. We starting looking online at Dermatology specialists, and luckily, we came across Dr. Mills. We read the reviews (like the one I'm writing), and booked an appt. right away. Sure enough, Doctor Mills was able to correctly diagnosis the problem at hand, QUICKLY! After, he provided us with a custom plan to combat her allergies. Sure enough, this plan has completely changed her well-being (not to mention, ours too). He is passionate with what he does, and a true professional in this field. Our dog Scout would not be here today without the expertise Dr. Mills has. I urge all of you reading this, who may have a dog like mine, one with tremendously bad allergies, to get in contact with Dr. Mills immediately. He is a wonderful doctor and we couldn't be more thankful for what he has done for our dog, and us.
