A landmark of St. Matthews in Dupont Village, Village 8 continues to be Louisville's only 'discount house' operating at full schedule seven days a week, three-hundred sixty-five days a year.
Village 8 - Showing the same popular movies for a much more popular price, 365 days a year! The catch is, we get them once their popularity simmers, meaning it may not be screening at our theater for a few weeks after the scheduled release.
Village 8 also offers a first run views of select foreign, independent, & 'art' films that many theaters in Louisville do not offer in our program that we like to call our 'Exclusive New Releases'. Louisville exclusives have ranged all over the board in terms of content, culture and composition. We are proud to say we can assist in bringing eclectic film culture to our city, that's why we offer somewhat of a 'frequent flier miles card' ONLY for our 'Exclusive' patrons. Ask for a card upon purchase of an 'Exclusive' movie ticket for a card with 6 available spaces, one being pre-stamped. Every 'Exclusive' that you see henceforth will earn you a stamp, collect 5 and you may redeem it for a pass to any regular or 'Exclusive' movie, any time! (Film Festivals, Special Shows, etc can be refuted at managers will if need be, however that's not often.)
Village 8 intentionally holds at least one or more family movies for practical purposes. Our friendly atmosphere and relaxed faces make our establishment a great place for families, whilst enabling budget conscious folks to expand their entertainment dollars to the fullest. Check up weekly for the current children and family movies!
