My husband and I used them for our wedding cake this past Sunday and it was amazing. We initially met with the decorator for our tasting with a very simple idea in mind for our cake and Mario Amiibo toppers. She saw our toppers and guided us through the process of designing a Mario themed cake and neither my husband nor I could dream up ourselves. It was perfectly designed with colored frosting and fondant characters scattered around our 3 tiered cake. The all fillings and cake flavors were delicious we tasted at our tasting and made choosing our inside flavors so hard. They were able to make our favorite, their carrot cake, the top tier for my husband and I to enjoy this week after our wedding. They delivered the cake on time to the venue and it was completely set up before our ceremony began with no issues. All of our guests loved the decorations and more importantly loved the cake itself. We had several people ask us where we got it from they loved it so much. We can’t recommend the Village Bakehouse enough for the delicious, beautifully designed and executed cake.

Just where for the first time, and I love it. They’re super friendly and have an amazing selection to choose from, including gluten free and vegan treats. And they’re not over priced! Definitely recommend this place, the lemon bars are amazing!

We are regular customers there and often admire the cakes in the display case. We ordered a cake for my husband's birthday, placed the order with a worker who seemed to know what he was doing. He even gave us a small taste of the buttercream icing to help us decide which icing to get. We decided on the cream cheese. I paid for the cake, then picked it up a couple of days later. The cake had a bright white icing that didn't look like cream cheese, I called Village Bakehouse and spoke with a woman who asked me to bring in a piece to confirm they had put the wrong icing on it. She said we would be compensated because they had not made the cake the way we requested. I brought in the cake and was told that there WAS a mistake and the icing was wrong. I was told that they WOULD comp me but only $3.50 which was not the cost of the cake. We're very disappointed that they didn't give us the cake we ordered and we will think twice before placing another order with them.

Lots of great reviews for this place! And well deserved! The sandwich I had which was the club was fantastic!!! Had to get one of those incredible looking gourmet cupcakes also which was very good. Pretty cool place. I want to eat every cupcake and try more sandwiches because they were so good!!! Note: I want to review below mine a little ways down talked about some rude employees and I encountered nothing like that. Even the people described in his review pretty nice and friendly.

For today's Father's Day my lovely wife took me to the Village Bakehouse around lunch time. Simply Marvelous ... that's the only way to describe the food we were served AND the German Chocolate Cake that we bought and took home!!! Wow ... the Eggs Benedict were simply divine ... from the sauce, to the perfectly cooked eggs, to the canadian bacon (very tender), to the English muffin below to the very, very, very scrumptious and perfectly done red potatoes! And, my wife commented specifically on how well prepared were the scrambled eggs in her bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich! Well, with food that good, and since German Chocolate is my favorite cake, we reserved the last one we saw in the case so that no one else would buy it before we were done eating. We were not disappointed!!! Easily the best German Chocolate Cake, from anywhere, that I have had in years and years and years. The Village Bakehouse is highly recommended for its polite and helpful employees as well! UPDATE Sunday, October 1, 2017: Well, its hard to describe just how rare it is to find a chocolate cupcake, with chocolate mousse-like icing, that is THIS good. Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful ... And to top it off, the Reuben sandwich I had just before the cupcake, which was WONDERFUL itself, didn’t dampen my spirits for the chocolate cupcake. Boy, what a great place to eat.
