Unfortunately, their pizza certainly doesn't taste as good as it looks. We tried a slice of Grandma's, which was under-seasoned with little excitement in the crust and the pepperoni/sausage pizza, which unfortunately was SO drenched in hot honey, we couldn't taste anything but sauce. Shame because we've heard great things about this store, but it just doesn't seem to measure up against the other NY pizza classics.
An amazing thick crust that has a good flavor, is crisp yet chewy, for both the square and round slices. They have 2 vegan options, average price per slice is $5 and a great tomato sauce. My only criticism was the amount of sauce in the pepperoni slice we got. Given a thicker square crust, I would have liked to see a bit more sauce to have made it more enjoyable. The vegan eggplant square and plain cheese slice were good too. Vegetarian options: They have multiple vegan no cheese and vegetarian options. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, they offer a ramp
Definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had The way they make the crust , the cheese and the pepperoni is so delicious I did have to walk a little but the service was fast , they had seating outside . I walked across the street and sat on a park bench . The honey hot sauce is fire it makes the pizza taste so good ! Can’t wait to come back ! The vodka square is one of the best slices I’ve had in the city and their pepperoni square is easily in the top 5! Also worth noting their staff is very friendly and makes the experience that much better
Village Square Pizza is a solid pizza place on the Lower East Side. They have a good set of Sicilian and Regular style pizzas that are all delicious. I recommend trying out the Pepperoni Sicilian and the Buffalo Chicken flavours.
Great square slice downtown, the grandma slice was delicious but the vodka was a bit bland. Great crispy square with some solid fluff as well. Can't complain at all, great staffFood: 4/5
Wish there was more pepperoni on my square slice. The vodka slice tasted plain and didn’t really have a dimensional taste vs. others I’ve tried. Staff was really nice and friendly.
Not sure if we came on a bad night, as was excited from reviews, then it didn't live up to expectations. I was a little disappointed as I ordered, to then be told they didn't have what I ordered. Also, when the pizza came, it was quite cold and we literally say right outside to eat!
Don't order through Grubhub or you will have to ask for a refund. Food was good here, but Grubhub destroyed my order this time. I called the restaurant 1st to resolve the matter, and instead offering a solution, I was told "That was Grubhub not us" and brushed off. Manager then calls me to explain who's fault it is. ‍
Excellent pizza differentiated by its rectangular cut. Seed oil free options. Hot honey. Open late. Simple as.
