This place has a very cozy feel to it. We ordered a salad and a pizza (it was a veggie kind, but we added chicken). The salad was my favorite. The pizza was ok. The wine options were pretty good and so were the mixed drinks. I will be trying this place again as the salad convinced me that it's worth a second try. I'd recommend this place to others.

Nice compact room with a wide and varied wine ,beer and cocktail selection. Add to those nice touches a nice selection of foods like their fresh and light lasagna. On weekends there is a live not overly loud jazzy combo to complete the lively yet relaxing atomosphere . There is also a bigger back room which I didn't enter. There might be a little wait to be seated but it is worth the wait.

This isn't the first time we've been to vinz. It's been awhile, but the service is still amazing and the food is different and fun to enjoy. The music was awesome we were right next to the band. Definitely will return w my dog for the pup menu and happy hour.

We enjoy a beer and brat at Vinz when it is Cruising Grand during the summer months, Also the patio is dog friendly. They have a variety of guest beers a fast service deli and then the wine bar has a good selection. Wednesday night is happy hour on the patio when you bring your friendly dog. A delicious people treat is the tater tots with Gorgonzola and truffle oil. (picture)

Nice, relaxed corner cafe with a decent wine selection. Didn't recognize the Pinot reds so I played it safe with a Merlot, which was actually quite good. The food was quite good as well although the prices were a little on the high side, but still reasonable, especially for the quality of the dishes. We decided to go here last minute and it wasn't too busy when we arrived, though it did start to pick up, and I guess they weren't expecting it to get busy (on a Saturday night? Really?) so they were a little short-handed, which is why there was a slight delay with ordering and getting our food, but I've seen much worse elsewhere, and our server and the rest of the staff were VERY attentive, friendly and did not display any kind of stress about doing their job. The fact that they are dog friendly (on the patio at least) is a big positive since I'm a dog person, so anyone who doesn't like dogs might want to get a table inside or just avoid this establishment. Also, since we were sitting outside on a Saturday night you will get to listen to the sounds of cars, car stereos, skateboards and groups of families walking up and down the street, which I felt only added to the friendly neighborhood small town atmosphere of downtown Escondido.
