The people were very friendly and I really want to give it a good review. I had several transplant procedures there with very, very little results and a huge scar. And yes, a surgeon , I guess of some capacity, arrives to cut a chunk of out of your head, then people with no medical expertise comes and stick hairs in your head. After giving up on adding hair, as I've discovered you can spend all the money in the world and never look the way you think you're going to, I decided I wanted to just buzz my head. So I returned to have the scar cut out and closed as much as possible and have hair grow out of the scar. This is a procedure they use as a selling point. I was told this could easily be done and it would look a lot better. A few years later it is just as big and bad with hardly any hairs growing out. And the best part... Apparently, no one told the surgeon I was just doing the scar revision. Sitting in the chair heavily medicated after driving three hours to get there, I was told I had to agree to have 500 grafts for her to do the scar. I should have walked out then. I will never step foot in that establishment again and would encourage all others to run. Not just from them, but the hair replacement industry as a whole. I've learned the transplant business is an extremely sleazy practice that preys on the insecurities of balding men. Just don't do it! Shave your head. If you've already made this mistake look into a good tech to do scalp micro pigmentation. I had it done in my scar ( very inexpensive in comparison) and can now shave my head and I'm extremely happy and liberated. Even with the best of work there is still a scar there, but it looks dramatically better and smaller. I'm so much happier having no hair there pretending I did. And being bald isn't nearly as bad as having a big Frankenstein scar across your head the rest of your life. It depresses me to think of all thousands of dollars I threw down the toilet to still be bald and have a big train track scar across my head. Biggest mistake of my life!

Worst result with 4000 grafts and several thousand dollars later. Would not recommend this incompetent bunch to my worst enemy. Linda who is not a licensed physician supervises the minions of this place including the surgeon. I am lucky that 15 months post-op I was not scarred and pretty much look the same. However no real hair growth and I guess a lesson learned. Will never go back to these scam artists!

A little bit about my story. I've had Thyroid issues all my life and the medications caused me to lose my hair. About a year ago my thyroid levels became controlled and my Dr. cleared me to get a hair transplant. I had done a TON of research and came across Virginia Surgical on my journey. Immediately they made me feel like I was at the right place. They answered all my questions and most importantly was HONEST about what I should expect if I had the procedure. The staff from beginning to end were professional and incouraging. They offered me laser treatments along with my procedure and I thought that was great. I'm 10 months post-op and overall I'm extremely happy with the results. I'd recommend them to anyone! Thanks guys Alisha

I had an old procedure from the 90's. I went on various consultations and picked VSC. They were able to remove my outdated plugs and old scar. It did take 18 months to fully come in but I'm so happy. I highly recommend this company. They also provided a complimentary post operative program which included laser sessions.

My experience with Virginia Surgical was superb. The Doctors and staff were professional, caring, and informative. Their post op laser therapy scheduling is an added bonus to the procedure itself. Virginia Surgical is clearly MD/DC/VA hair restoration destination for men and women.
