This is the biggest Walmart in our area. It has a huge grocery section with lots of produce. Actually a great place to pick up fresh turmeric root and other less common produce items. The prices are obviously pretty good because it's Walmart. Overall, it's a great place to go if you need a bunch of stuff that would otherwise have you making 10 stops across the city.

If I could give less than a 1 star I would. My spouse and I do groceries at this location every Friday at 7am as soon as they open. Today, we went and did our groceries as we always do. When we got to the front of the store to checkout we noticed there were NO cashiers working so we asked an employee what cash is open. She told us that things have changed and that they do NOT have people working cash in the mornings anymore and that self checkout would be our only option. Our cart was filled to the top with items so we asked if she could make an exception as my spouse and I had to get to work and self check out would take forever with a cart FULL of items. She went and asked her manager if she could open a cash for us as we had SO many items... He said NO. My spouse and I NEEDED the items in our cart so of course we bit the bullet and MANUALLY scanned each item (almost every item needed an employee to swipe their card in order for us to scan the next item which took over 30 min. Our frozen items were thawing and our milk was getting warm. I honestly CANNOT believe they don't have people on working cash anymore when the store is open. Not to mention, there were FOUR employee's standing around watching us struggle with ALL of our items while they talked. Those employees should be working on cash assisting customers (is that not what they are getting paid to do???) Walmart in Stittsville, STOP PAYING YOUR EMPLOYEES TO STAND AROUND AND TALK. Pay them to work cash!! Is that not their job??? I am honestly blown away that they are no longer having their employees on cash in the morning when they open anymore. This is new change is absolutely ridiculous. I don't recommend going in the morning if you are planing to do groceries.... TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Staff always friendly. Selection of produce is very good. Not always cheapest but they will price match. Has become my go to store. As we all have to more aware of what we pay for groceries it is nice to see a retailer that has that in mind as well.Owl pictures taken in the surrounding parking lot.

A great example of why retail will die. DON'T GO IN THE MORNING if you plan to have lots of items... My spouse & I came in the morning to pick up our groceries for the week and some items (Several hundred dollars worth & a heaping cart filled to the top & bottom filled). We get to the front and see that there is no cashiers working...so the girl tells us to use the automated machine...We just looked at her and looked at our cart and were shocked that she would have us process well over 120+ items ourselves. She agreed it was ridiculous and went to ask the manager if they could open a cash for us and he said no. It made no sense, instead we had 4 people standing behind us watching us struggle with such a large amount of groceries...every 5 seconds swiping their card on the self checkout machine as it wasn't working. I honestly don't get why any of their employees get paid money because they do not work, they stand around. With horrible retail experiences like this...they will go under before we know it & I can't wait for them to see that customer experience is the only thing they have in their arsenal and yet it was never used.

Wow! I have not had such a good Walmart experience in years. My local Walmart is crowded with narrow aisles so hard for my mom to navigate with the electric scooters. It's always out of stock of everything. Can't find an employee to save your life. I decided to drive out to this Walmart for my groceries before giving up on Walmart. 2.5 hours we were on our way back home. The store is huge. The shelves were stocked. Only sold out of 1 item on my list and. It surprised considering I wanted to price match it for half off so others beat me to it. Employees were everywhere we looked at this was between 7 and 930 pm. The scotter mom was using died so an employee went to get her a new one. I dug through pillows for a certain one. As I was putting them back an employee approached and said here let me do that for you. Was such a refreshing experience. My only gripe if I have to list one is the cash I went to did not have a bagging area set up for the cashier to scan and bag. I helped bag when I noticed this and no it was not marked as an express cash.
