Well what can you say, it's a Walmart. Very sort of corporate atmosphere. Very rule oriented. Very cult like culture for employees (oops, I mean "associates".... See what I mean?) and in a different way for customers. They've engineered the checkout process so that if you don't want to stand in line forever then you must use the self checkout. But... the prices are usually the cheapest there and in an economy where most people don't make a living wage and struggle to get by, low prices trump everything. Consumers chose Walmart over Kmart and put them out of business. Now Walmart will be the only choice here in town for many items that aren't practical to have mailed. Look for those items slowly raise to record high levels.

Two great things: Assistant Mgr very helpful in paint. Pharmacy is very friendly and helpful. Bad things: 34 lanes and like 4 cashers at any given time. Also, they have employees stationed at exit asking to check your receipt. VERY OFFENSIVE! If a real employee checked me out, maybe they would KNOW I didn't steal anything. One exit receipt checker is especially overbearing. Hubby was being helped by a employee to carry large item out. She STILL asked to see receipt. Ok, if associate is helping you, he's probably not helping you to STEAL! Hubby just said "no". The helper employee said his family hates the exit tackles, too. Another time the zealot exit receipt checker WATCHED ME THE WHOLE TIME I was self checking, and still asked to see my receipt! I'm like, you JUST watched me check and bag myself! I said no. This store must have terrible theft problems for this extreme procedure. But I'm not one of them and I don't appreciate being treated like a criminal. They need more real cashiers treating you like a real customer. They wouldn't have to check exit receipts if they were the ones actually ringing you up in person in the first place. Feel bad for employees, rules aren't their fault. But they bear the brunt of offended customers. Management needs a strong review.

Most generally has a pretty good selection with pretty reasonable prices. Love the self checkers as I am usually friendlier and faster than most of the checkers that work here.

I use Walmart pay, easy fast check out only to be stopped at the exit and a person wants to check the sacked items against the receipt, which is electronic. Then they ask to take my phone. Next time I'll leave the cart, and demand a refund. It's like they are herassing their customers after they make purchases. Ridiculous!
