The experience of my family was not the best for this funeral home. Our funeral director was Abbey. She was pleasant but initially when my son and I asked about how we could arrange for the cremation costs for my husband by verifying life insurance, she told me it was not possible. I asked her to verify and ended up paying the full cost that day to ensure it was taken care of. I had to go back to sign a form that she forgot to have us sign and when I went to pick him up after the cremation, I then had to go back again to pick up the personal items that they forgot to send with me. I then had challenges with communicating with the staff about the death certificates. At least the price was reasonable and in the market range for the cremation costs.

We just had my dads funeral there this week the staff was so amazingly nice and accommodated our needs my dad looked fantastic you guys did a wonderful job. And we as a family are ever so grateful thank you very much the gorton family.

We just had my grandpa's wake there on Monday night and it was great everyone that worked there was so great and friendly and helpful! My family is huge and they were able to help us out with so many different questions we had ! Thank you so much

We just had my mother's funeral their on Wednesday the 16 th. They were all so kind to us. They did a beautiful job on my mother she looked so pretty although she was always a pretty lady. They were vary comforting at our time of need, vary polite and warm hearted. Thank you again washburn Mc Reavy. I do have to add one more thing that I feel is vary important. When a friend of our family called to the funeral home to ask the lady at the desk about why they didn't have our mothers obituary on their website? The lady laughed at her. Our friend was vary upset, at this time as she loved our mother dearly .she was asking for directions to the funeral home in coon rapids so she could attend the funeral. The young lady laughed at her, at this time our friend told her that she does not think any of this is funny at all. Please train your workers to respect the public when calling to ask questions .

TOM......THIS IS RAY CARLSON......I SINCERELY FELT WE HAD A VERY NICE AND INFORMATIVE MEETING REGARDING THE ARRANGEMENTS FOR MY WIFE BETTY....BUT, WHEN WE GOT DOWN TO HILLSIDE, THE LADY INFORMED US THAT THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL FEE FOR OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE GRAVESITE....THAT IN ITSELF WAS SURPRISING AND EVEN THO I REALIZE BURIAL'S ARENT CHEAP, I FELT I WAS BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF JUST BY VIRTUE OF MY SITUATION AND THE LOSS OF MY WIFE...NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WAS TAKEN ABACK BECAUSE THE SUBJECT OF COST SEEMED TO COME BEFORE THE NEEDS OF ME AND MY FAMILY IN SECURING A FINAL RESTING PLACE FOR MY WIFE....OF COURSE, I'LL HAVE TO PAY THE ADDITIONAL EXPENSE, BUT I FIRMLY FEEL THAT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN HANDLED IN A MUCH BETTER MANNER......RAY CARLSON
