A charming and authentic Chinese place nestled in the heart of San Francisco's Chinatown, Washington Bakery serves up large portions of traditional dishes. Good for parties of 2-6 people (they don't generally have room to accommodate larger parties), definitely expect to share your dish or have leftovers.

I love this place. It is the heart of Chinatown at 733 Washington St. They make good Chinese porridge soup (jook), amazing won-ton noodles in a clay pot, and delicious baked goods such as their egg custard tarts and their pineapple and pork buns. The atmosphere is laid back and you can come as you are. I've recommended this restaurant and bakery to co-workers, family and friends. When my cousin comes up from Los Angeles, the first thing they do is ask me to take them here after they drop off their belongings. 
l'm usually here 5 days a week and I'm never tired of their food. Come join me sometimes and see if I'm right.

Authentic Chinese food in the heart of China Town. Great experience and great food. Definitely would recommend!
