Only way to get a car or camper to Washington Island! Ferry is well run and clean. Getting a vehicle onto it is easy thanks to a great staff and good land facilities. Island is cool, interesting and has good views. Not a lot of food options out there so pack a picnic lunch. The channel the ferry crosses is usually very rough and can bounce the BIG ferry around a bit... if you get seasick so beware and bring some seasick pills. BRING A CAMMERA!

Was my first time on a ferry--took vehicle too. Staff was couteous and made the whole thing nice and easy. The ride to and from Washington Island was beautiful and fun. Captain was very skilled. Ferry was on time. Just be careful to realize you could get stuck on the island if you missed the last trip off. Also be aware trips can be cancelled without warning in inclement weather.

Efficient and courteous service. They are the only way to get to Washington Island but they don't act like it.

Great ferry service from Northport to Washington island as well as tour of the island itself. We were only passengers for the time that we took the ferry accross the water, but it was still an efficient experience nonetheless.
