I lived at Waterstone from July 2015 to July 2016. The location is awesome; proximity to many restaurants and malls is really useful. This was a decent "first apartment" for my girlfriend and I. However, that means it came with plenty of issues. The carpets were dingy and unappealing. We noticed that other units were having their carpets replaced with hardwood floors, and asked if that could be done for our unit as part of renewing the lease. That was denied, and I am curious if they proceeded to do it anyways once we moved out. The kitchen and bathroom was uselessly small. I chose that word carefully; they were so small as to be not useful for their purpose. Our building was very close to the leasing office, and tow trucks never came down that way to avoid the roundabout. This resulted in habitual illegal parking with nothing done about it. There was a plethora of cars without parking tags forcing residents to park in entirely different regions of the complex. At move in, Glinda (spelling?) assured us that we would be able to paint so long as we primed the walls at the end of our lease. After following those instructions, they charged us with the line item description of "walls were painted." This went directly against what we were told, which was especially frustrating after purchasing the supplies to prime the walls only to still have to pay a fee. When I attempted to deliver the check to pay for this fee, I found an empty leasing office with an all too common sign on the door that they would be back "soon." As you can see from other reviews, this is a very common occurrence: not answering phones or being out of the office is just a daily procedure when contacting Waterstone. In this specific case, we were also met with a rude attitude upon inquiring about the fee for paint. Overall, I would not recommend living here. There are better options out there with friendlier staff that are more reliably helpful. In the business of apartments, customer service easily makes the difference when dealing with such an abundance of options with similar prices. In that regard, Waterstone, you fail to keep up with your antiquated amenities, appliances, and building/unit designs.

Kitchen is small and we don't have enough windows so it's always dark inside but overall I love it here. Very calm and I feel comfortable having my kids play outside.

The only reason I'm giving one star is because you have to give the star to leave a review otherwise there would be none. On top of the outrageous price to stay in these poorly thought out floor plans, this place is incredibly loud you can hear a nickel drop in the hallway while cooking a meal with your family. They might as well give a piece of paper as a door, better than these plywood wanna be doors. I could rant about how the management is unstable or how I've had my privacy invaded on numerous occasions by the fore mentioned "fine" management. But I'll do you a favor stay as far away from this place as you would a leper cause only they would be caught living here. Thank you to whoever reads this and catches the warning. All coming from a current, soon to be ex tenant.

This is the girlfriend of Keith, we are moving out soon but have lived here since January 2012. I have loved it so much. The management is great especially since we have had Loren and Charlene!! Very friendly and always helpful! I have never had trouble with the maintenance, they have always been amazing, they have always helped me out a lot! Thank you for making our stay at Waterstone at Carrollwood amazing! If you get the pleasure of being in Building #1 you will have the best neighbors ever!

Overall I really have enjoyed this apartment. The grounds are clean and when I put in a maintenance order online, it is handled timely. I feel safe in my apartment. However, the new staff at the office is not particularly friendly and they WILL NOT return any call you make to them. The previous management were at least friendly. I have had to stand in the lobby to give them information while they were just chatting and they saw me come in. I would say it's not a reason to not move here, but if the previous staff could be friendly and professional, so could they. Only make maintenance requests online, if you call them in, they won't be done (goes back to them never returning your call).
