Story

Since 1947, millions of visitors have been amazed and charmed by the world famous mermaids who inhabit the spring. In addition to live mermaid shows, Weeki Wachee Springs State Park offers a river boat cruise, animal shows and Florida's only spring-fed water park, Buccaneer Bay.

Took my two grandchildren, 12 and 10, for the first time this morning. Even though we arrived 15 minutes early, we had to wait in line for tickets. Wasn't so bad, for the amount of people the line moved quickly. We directly to the Mermaid show and then to the fantastic water park. For the small price of admission, it is a fabulous place to spend the day. Didn't know food and drinks are allowed to be brought in, so we purchased the normal amusement park food. Cost about $10.00 each for a lunch and drink. Bring your own and the value is unbelievable. Will be going back.

Gorgeous water spring.  The mermaid show is spectacular.  Loved the boat ride.  The animal show only had 3 animals; turtle, snake, and gator...all of which live in my back yard so I was not very impressed.  The girl who did the show was funny and very knowledgeable of her 3 critters.  The water is FREEZING but refreshing.  Lots of places to go eat outside of the park if you don't want to spend a lot of money there.   When you get there, go straight to the rental area to get your tubes.  They run out quick.

Weeki Wachee Springs is one of the best state parks we have visited. Its clean they keep everything looking nice. The guys working their do a great job keeping things running smooth and making sure people follow the rules. Had a great time! Oh the mermaid show was worth the wait.

This Is a very beautiful place to do kayak, canoe, boat or paddle board. The people here keeps this place very clean and the water is crystal clear. You can even see fishes and manatees (keep in mind you can't touch or harm the manatees in any way). The river is about 5 miles and a half and it has lots of checkpoints where you can stop to swim and jump from the trees or ropes to the water. If you visit this place I hope you enjoy it as much as me and my family always do.

Was a bucket list event for my birthday. Got there half hr early, stood in hot sun for 2 hrs. Finally in, decided to get water and bathroom then straight to another long line to see mermaid show. Waited an hr and half to be told storm was near and show was cancelled. Very disappointing Birthday, no refund and I drove over an hr each way. Total bday equalled hrs of doing nothing but driving and standing in line. Just wanted to cry. Never again. Friends tried to cheer me up but had their own long drive ahead
