I had to find a house in one day and was working with three agencies. Weichert was courteous and accommodating, sometimes meeting me at a perspective home with only 15 minutes notice. They are pet friendly and we found a lovely home with a big back yard and a doggy door. Then they provided me with a private room and a computer to use. We were approved in just a few hours. Great service so far!

Extremely helpful in every way. Got me moved in immediately when I asked and even went the extra mile in getting a package that was left at my door when I was out of town. Unbelievably friendly and helpful!

Rented house that was uninhabitable (no running water, no locks on windows and doors, security backyard fence falling down, no deadbolt locks, basic urine smell on wood floors throughout house, backdoor window busted).  Was unsecure and I was unable to live there or store my things there, yet was made to pay rent.  After going unfixed, I wanted out of lease.  Owner Carolyn Spence refused to let me out of lease without giving up my security deposit ($400).  Was forced to consult with Dan Lindsy's Office about the issue and they agreed the place was uninhabitable and against mandatory minimum housing codes.  After they called her, she hesitantly returned my deposit, but I think she still kept some of the 1st month's rent.  THERE ARE SOME TRUE SLUM LORDS IN CLOVIS!

As a property management company,  Weichert is always prompt, fair and honest in dealing with both tenants and owners.  The complaint from "good citizen" is full of misunderstandings and miscommunications.  This tenant was given a three day notice of non-payment of rent by mistake once,  but that is not an attempt to evict.  It is just a notice that lets the tenant know the rent hasn't been received.  It was fixed of course when the tenant contacted the company.  Tenants must keep water on, to water lawns when the lease says that is their responsibility.  So when someone deploys, they cannot have the water turned off and just let the landscaping die.  So that was an issue.  And when a tenant contacts the company for repairs needed,  if there is damage that is tenant caused, they are made aware that there might be a cost to them.  This is a disclosure of responsibility, not a threat.  

The company does not have employees for all the trades to do repairs, but rather engages contractors such as licensed plumbers, electricians and such, to do them.  When a tenant calls in a repair, if they will not be at home, the licensed repairman is issued a key.  Of course when they come and go, from the job to the truck, they might have the doors open.   These contractors are not strangers, and do this work for many property managers. 

Rent amounts and increases are set by the owners within terms of the lease.  The tenant "good citizen" rents an upscale custom built home with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, large living area,  and a den in the best area in Clovis.  He was paying $1350 rent by his own choice, so the increase in rent was $50.  Upscale tenants do not like notices on the door,  but posting on the door 30 days prior to increase is what is required by the New Mexico Owner-Resident Relations Act. 

There does need to be better communication with this tenant, and better explanations for what is happening and why.  Email is a wonderful way to communicate. And the company is really trying to be the best at answering calls, emails, and letters.  There is a log of all repair calls, so none is ever lost, and with this tenant the company now tries to email before any notices are posted, so it won't be a surprise.  He doesn't live in a hovel, so I hope he enjoys his place this summer.

I read the other review and while the company may care about you when they're getting your money, they don't seem to care very much when they are your landlord (or think they are, in my case).
I had a clogged drain in my rental house and called to find out if they could send someone to come fix it.  When I called, the woman who answered the phone just said "hello?"  She did not say what business she was with or what her name was.  I had to ask if this was Weichert Realty.  She answered, "yeah."  I proceeded to explain my situation and when I was through, she said "well, it's probably because you put grease down the drain."  I explained that we don't do that.  And she informed me that it usually was the case, so if it's our fault we have to pay for everything.  And the conversation proceeded to get worse from there.  She was just very rude and then it turned out that the property didn't belong to their company.  It had recently changed hands (and I made a mistake by calling the old number).  She sounded completely annoyed that I had called the wrong number (even though she didn't pick up on that fact until the very end, after she had wrote down my address and was working on scheduling a time to send someone out) and then she got annoyed when I couldn't write down a phone number she gave me at rapid speed.
And the coup-de-gras of the whole thing, was that she excused herself from the phone while I was talking so she could bang the phone on whatever surface was in front of her and yell at some children that were there with her.  I could hear every word she was saying to those children and I felt so bad for them.
Overall, the experience was terrible.  I have been in the customer service business for over 9 years and I have never treated a client the way this lady treated me.  I am so thankful that we are not with her company.  But in a way, I'm glad that I did call them because now I know who not to buy from whenever we decide to purchase or rent another house again.
