Just recieved the "JOSEF" queen size bed. Delivery was great and the bed was great until I put my mattress on. The wooden slats show on both sides of bed. Thought it might be my mattress so I also tried another queen size mattress from a guest room...same problem. Made the bed with comforter etc....that hides the slats near the foot of the bed but not near headboard. Called a mattress store and yes the standard is 60" width however most mattresses are about 58" wide. Actual width of platfom on "JOSEF" bed is 61" even though it is advertised as 60" in width. So make sure you measure your mattress exactly before you purchase this bed. Too bad.

Not a huge store but customer service is great. Bought a light that needed replaced and they shipped a new one in two days. Thank you West Elm.

Looking for a nice gift for a special person? Stop here for a very clean line of home decor that is modern without being cold. Your will find a variety of textures and shimmering pieces either as an accent or a central focus. The staff is courteous and you will find something that expresses your unique style regardless of your budget. Just thinking about driving north of Kennedy for gift purchases makes my head hurt. That is why I am so glad West Elm is right here off of Swann Ave minutes from the crosstown, Bayshore, 275, and yes of course Kennedy and Downtown. In and out, no fuss, and confidence that you got a quality gift.

You can get a lot of cool interior decorating ideas from here. But pricey but with the look; quality is good.

My mom was excited to visit West Elm after moving to Central Florida but to her dismay the associates made her feel very unwelcome. Nobody offered her any assistance when the store was not even busy. My dad felt so uncomfortable he needed to leave the store. Now my mom is very disappointed and will never go back. I don't know if it's because of discrimination due to her being a minority (Asian) or if the employees just do not know the basics of customer service.
