West O Fitness is a locally owned and operated fitness center with two locations in Omaha. Our goal is to meet the overwhelming fitness demand in the area and help people reach their fitness goals in a fun and relaxing workout environment. Been a member since June and don’t think I’d leave unless I had to. Equipment is new looking and well cleaned. Cost is crazy good especially when you look at what you get with the price. Some of the employees could be a little friendlier but majority of them know me by name and when I usually come in. I’d recommend this to anyone that doesn’t like the “big gym” scene. It’s got everything I need and more! Very nice gym with very nice people everywhere. Makes my workout experience way easier

West O Fittness workers are always willing to help and answer questions. This gym is very clean and well kept. It is a friendly environment to get a good workout in. I would recommend this gym to anyone. The prices are also very reasonable.

So far, so good! I personally like it because it doesn’t feel like a ‘scene’ type gym—everyone’s just there to workout. If you just need a nice gym without a ton of crazy frills, this is a great option. Staff seems pleasant to me! 👍👍

When I had originally joined West O fitness, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I even gave them a 5-star review on Facebook. The amenities are great, the facility was clean, price was good, and the staff was friendly. This was right when the gym opened. Over time, the cleanliness and maintenance declined. The bathrooms were often dirty and unusable, shower nozzles fell off in the showers, and soap dispensers fell off of walls. The gym quickly became overcrowded, and with not many machines per body part, a certain workout may be wasted due to nothing available. My bigger complaint however was when I went to try and cancel my membership. I had signed a 1-year contract with them, which had a clear cancellation policy within it, that you cancel before the 25th, and you pay 1 more month's fees and that is it. However, their interpretation of this is MUCH different. They will not let you cancel for any reason other than moving out of state or having a doctors note stating you are unable to work out anymore. I submitted my cancellation request, and joined another gym. After i joined another gym, the manager reached out saying i was not eligible to cancel my membership, and I am forced to pay my dues for the 6 remaining months on my contact. I argued vehemently with them about the clear cancellation policy, and they would not let me do anything (not even pay a cancellation fee), stating this only applies to month-to-month members (which it does NOT say), forcing me to waste over $300 in un-used gym membership. They told me the only thing I could do was reach out to outside council, which I was not going to do over $300. I will never recommend this gym to friends or family based on the experience with their management alone. They are a new and growing small business in the community, and to be this unreasonable is sad to see.

Gym atmosphere is the reason I go to a gym instead of working out at home. They do a great job of keeping it clean, and have great equipment.
