West Steak & Seafood is an intimate and distinctive fine dining restaurant located in the coastal community of Carlsbad, CA.

Our creative culinary team is renowned for offering the highest quality of prime steaks, chops and seafood prepared to your taste. Dedicated to an authentic farm-to-table ethos, Executive Chef David Abella harvests fresh ingredients daily from the restaurant’s own farm, The West Farm.

Treat yourself to our “Dinner in the Lounge” menu along with daily Happy Hour specials from 4:30-6:30pm, toast the sealing of a deal or simply celebrate where only the best quality and service will do.

Nice atmosphere, and the service (props to Parker, perhaps the best server I've had anywhere) would bring me back even if the food was only good. The quality, preparation and presentation of the food was at least as good as any I have ever eaten. Wish I lived closer, it would definitely be my new favorite place.

Typically when I review a restaurant, the food takes the lead. Not this time. 

We were lucky enough to be seated in Willow's section. Yes, lucky. From the jump she was extremely personable and focused, not what is typically expected with such a busy night. 

Upon discovering we were on vacation with our children (and in laws, who were handling kiddo duty) she politely made expert recommendations on other family friendly eateries and activities in the area. Yeah, I'm not divulging where, go to WEST and find out for yourself ;). 

Where Willow truly shined was her ability to handle a boisterous table of 10 next to us. A table of 50/60 something men that were a bit over the top, at one point crossing the line of harmless banter to down right inappropriate. She handled it very professionally, redirected the good ol boy and continued with her job. Never skipped a beat with us, and had no idea we noticed. 

My wife and I made sure to commend her prior to leaving, hopefully the gentleman we spoke to passed the information on to the right folks. 

In summation, Willow is the best in the West. 

Oh, the steaks......top notch. Prepared perfectly.

Everything was perfect.  Quality first class.  Seasoning was well done and cooked perfectly.  We had sea bass and fillet,shrimp,scallops.  Worth every penny!!  Service outstanding!!! Can’t wait to come back!

I wish I could give them a thousand stars , took my daughter out for special dinner. The staff was on point , the food was perfect. We felt so lucky to have met Chef Dave who made us feel so welcomed.We will  definitely be back

I've actually only eating a burger here. It was a $25 burger and it was delicious but it might have been slightly overpriced. I'm also stopped in a couple times for drinks which were decent but a few dollars more than acceptable. I guess it's the ambiance you're incurring in that price.
