Great sunset views and good food and service. Nice heated outdoor patio overlooking the ocean. Food is very expensive here even by CA standards and very good but not as exceptional as the prices lead you to believe. ie. 2c serving of wild mushroom and short rib risotto-$40. Short rib was only a few small pieces of meat mixed in the risotto. While it was very tasty and served piping hot and with nice presentation, not worth $40. It was a nightly special and I should have asked the price before hand as I wouldn’t have ordered a risotto at that price. But service is attentive without being overbearing, my husband’s steak was very good and did not cost much more than my risotto, the bread and olive oil are fresh and flavorful and they have good bottles of wine ranging from $36-$1100 depending on your income level. :). And the view at sunset is spectacular. Great place for a special occasion but remember to ask prices on the specials even if you think it will be one of the less expensive dishes based on years of culinary experience. Ha. Oh, their open table reservations don’t always work, so call and confirm as they are very busy every night and in all seasons. Valet parking is required unless you can find street parking up the hill and is $6 but you can add it to your restaurant bill if you don’t have cash.

My husband Gary and I had a certificate to go and eat lunch and and was given to him by his daughter Tracy 4 his birthday and we enjoyed it thoroughly Giggles like two little kids....... That was in March 2016, three months later middle of July Gary passed from cancer..... which we knew was going to happen but it came fast and sudden!!!!! Way too quick for me and to be truthful I'm not over it yet in my own time someday ........☺😘

Legitimately, one of the top steak restaurants in the US. I regularly eat at amazing steak restaurants all over the US for work and I think the Vig dominates steak places in NYC, Boston, etc. If you get a booth, order the tomahawk, and watch the sun set into the Pacific, you are living life. Steak, veggies, and the spaghetti with olive oil and garlic... you will have a memorable meal. The staff works hard to remember your name and make you feel special when you become a repeat customer.

The food, atmosphere and service here was top-notch. Every employee, from the valet to the manager, was genuinely happy to be there. Their brunch offerings are fantastic, including the cocktails. I will be going back as soon as I can!
