Westmoreland Funeral Home & Crematory is a locally owned and operated firm committed to helping you celebrate your life, or the life of one you love with a funeral or memorial service in keeping with the values and principles you hold dear. As a family owned firm, and with Jim Gibson at the helm as the third generation of the Westmoreland family, we are positioned to provide your family with the compassionate care you expect from a locally owned funeral establishment.

As the only fourth-generation funeral home in McDowell County with an on-site crematory, we are proud to be able to assure the families we serve that our cremation facility is used only for the families we personally serve and that your loved one is not transported to some unknown facility in a far-off place. So, unlike many area crematories, we are not interested in how many cremations we can do but, rather, how well we can serve the families who entrust us with this choice of final arrangements.
