I didn't know stores like these existed for those of us who aren't millionaires. Westwood Furniture is more a showroom than a store. You cannot walk in, buy something, and walk right out with your furniture. Everything is made to order and made mostly in the USA. I purchased the Simply Shaker Storage Bed last year during the tax-free weekend. It's solid wood and will probably be the last bed I'll ever need. I was told it would take three months for delivery but it was ready in less than half that time. Delivery and setup went so smoothly. David, the salesman who helped me, and another gentleman, arrived on time, worked quietly and quickly, didn't make a mess and were in and out of my home in about thirty minutes. Will definitely consider Westwood Furniture the next time I shop for heritage-quality furniture.
Excellent experience from start to finish. Sales person was very helpful without being intrusive. I was told that my chair would take 8 to10 weeks but they called me at five weeks to say it was in. They were able to deliver it two days later. Delivery people were right on time. It is a wall-hugger leather recliner and I just love it. It took me a long time to find a great looking, high quality recliner that was the right scale for my small living room. It is quite a hike from Gloucester to Dedham, but well worth it. I will definitely be going back.
I highly recommend this business - from the time I walked in the door until the time the furniture was delivered, the professionalism and process was flawless. Barb was the person who worked with me and she was extremely patient, knowledgeable about the various brands and explained the pros and cons of the different chairs. She was also able to arrange for prompt delivery. The delivery men were fantastic. They went above and beyond, arriving on time, and did not complain when the chair had to be carried up to the fourth floor after it wouldn’t fit in the building´s small elevator. I would definitely shop there again!
I want to start by saying that I love your furniture. You have a great selection with appealing displays. However, I was treated very poorly and after spending nearly $200 on a table the rude sales clerk would not provide 2 felt pads for the feet of the table I bought. She would give me 1 but not 2. These are literally a 10 cent item which I needed to protect the floor from the feet of the table I bought. Penny wise and pound foolish! Another manager gave them to me without pause but the rudeness I encountered by the sales clerk after spending close to $200 was such that I will never shop there again. No thank you for the business either. Definitely in need of a lesson in customer service.
We Imagined a long search for the two perfect recliners for a room we were giving a make over to. We wanted the chairs to be "just right" hence the expectations of a long search. Since we live in Dedham we thought we should start the search at Westwood Furniture, a place we had never been to, had low expectations for and which is easy to miss driving by on route 1A Washington St. After wandering through loads of beautiful, American-made furniture and meeting Joe, a non-salesy, extremely knowledgeable guy, we left THAT DAY with our two perfect chairs on order! We cannot wait to get them into our room! HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit to this great place!
Went in for the first time. Staff was great. We told them what we were looking for headboard and they kept us focused. I didn't give 5 stars because we didn't make a purchase. We loved the showroom, quality of products and the furniture options!
Decided to try the local furniture store instead of the big furniture chain stores. So glad we did. Pros: Convenient; affordable; varied selection; furniture made of real wood; courteous, knowledgeable salesperson.
