If you love a 1920's speakeasy atmosphere and every whiskey that your heart could desire, this is your place. I highly recommend the truffle fries. You will finish them before the main dish. If you are wanting recommendations on the main dish, spare ribs grilled cheese or buffalo chili, you can't go wrong with either as long as there is truffle fries. Seriously, they are that good. I would recommend asking for extra ketchup when you order them.

Here on a long lay over as airline flight crew, took a wild guess at a place to eat in salt Lake City. The crew and myself have been around SLC a bit, this by far is the best we've had. One had the The Whiskey Burger, said it was the best burger of his life. Solid endorsement! The fries are freaking fantastic as was my wedge salad! Paired with a stout and an Irish Mule. Excellent food, drinks and prices. We nearly got discouraged looking at the website and menu online, so glad we took a chance on this gem!!

Best brunch we’ve ever had! Highly recommend the Irish Car Bomb pancakes and the Italian  amaretto coffee.  Plus the mix your own mimosas. Definitely a new favorite.

I wanted to have dinner with a few colleagues, they were already waiting inside. The guy at the door asked for my ID which is issued in Germany but details such as date of birth and expiry date are also written in English. He returned it and asked for a passport instead, he claimed this is according to Utah law. I didn’t carry my passport to dinner so explained all he needs is written in the ID. He refused again, said he would be loosing his job if he lets me in without seeing the passport. My US colleagues tried to interfere, we asked for the manager to decide. The guy said the manager is too busy. This was really embarrassing and I hope the manager reads this and tells the guy to use his brain rather than turning revenue away. I should mention that I’m in my late 40s. So I went to another place on my own. They also checked ID but had no issues with it, found all the details they needed.

As the name tells you they definitely have a variety of whiskeys the also a huge lunch menu with a surprising amount of local favorites like deviled eggs.

The appetizers were good, the lunch was good, and I would definitely come back when visiting at the conference center. This place is very walkable from anywhere you stay downtown in as I quickly learned known by all the locals is a place to go for good food and drinks.

Pro tip: is visiting in the fall be sure to stay closer towards the bar and away from the front doors where the breeze rolls through. Or just order whiskey and stay warm the whole time.
