My second time eating here. I usually give a place 3 times before I review but this is an exception. Food is absolutely amazing. As you can see from my pic I had a few bites and had to post this review. The service is great as well. Reading other comments on here if you've ever worked in a restaurant then you should know how it is that's why I NEVER complain unless it deserves it. This place is a must try at least once if you love soul food.

Absolutely love this place! My parents live right around the corner from it, and every time I came home from college on the weekends this was the first place I would go. Then I'd grab me a to go box on my way back to school! I absolutely love their fried chicken, mac & cheese, and collard greens! My cornbread is usually always burnt ☹️ But other than that this place is amazing. 

They also make really good rib tips with BBQ sauce. I haven't tried much else (despite their large selection!) just because I love the fried chicken so much. I actually plan on picking up the ox tails tonight. 

I wouldn't recommend dining in all too much because the tables are sometimes dirty. Just depends on the time of day that you go in. 

The pricing is pretty decent. I overall would prefer this place compared to This Is It any day.

Food was AWESOME and great price. Staff n was rude when trying to maintain order in the line but one on one taking my order or later asking for some butter, she was very pleasant. I will DEFINITELY go back. Baked chicken is fall off the bone good! Macaroni was cheesy and delicious. Greenbeans were very well seasoned . the cornbread was a litrle dry but still i had a nice faint sweet taste.

Had the smoked chicken, dressing, and macaroni.... The lady asked me if I wanted gravy on my dressing but failed to ask if I wanted bbq slathered all over my sauce free chicken and goes ahead and puts it on there anyway, not to mention the cornbread was raw and improperly mixed because butter settled in the middle and was extremely hard... I can't really judge the whole restaurant off of one meal I've had there but the food is pretty mediocre to be called soul food!
