This Whole Foods is the only one in the area to serve Del Mar residents and is large with wide isles which make the store nice and airy. The Trifecta Tavern inside offers a sushi, burgers and tacos plus daily specials and a selection of beer and wine all of which are quite affordable. There are often wine and beer tastings and it's also a great place to watch sporting events since there are several televisions inside.

The worst Whole Foods I have ever been to. Terrible selection. Very tiny store. Meat department was a disaster starting from having to "yell" to get anyone to help. To terrible selection. So many trays empty. And talk about an attitude of all the employees when you could find one. Acted like they were doing me a favor waiting on me.

i tried it because of hype from amazon takeover. expensive. around 30% more than other grocery stores. there was a knowledgeable person behind meat counter though

Don't know what's going to happen with the new owners-Amazon. I've been shopping at Whole Foods for years at least 20 miles. Like the organic foods, NonGMO, no nitrate meats, puchasing small quantity of foods, like meat, cheeses,etc., the deli of prepared food, fresh food bar. Several of the brands I want are no longer available which is a disappointment. Great customer service. I know it is expensive, but you have to pay for quality. My concern will be if the quality will be sacrifice for price.

As other whole foods - great selection of fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, extensive prepared foods selection and now somewhat lower prices, thanks to Amazon.
