Story

Wild Iris Books is honored to be the last feminist bookstore in the state of Florida. We take our legacy seriously as we create a safe space for all people to question, grow, find solidarity, discover empowerment, and celebrate their originality! We love for people to come by and bring their energy to the store, and you’ll find tables and chairs, free Wi-Fi and a café on hand to help make your visit comfortable.

Our shelves are filled with lots of unique treasures you won’t find at the big box corporate bookstores. Our book selection ranges outside the normal fiction, cooking, biography, etc. realm to provide you a variety of choices. Browse through our feminist thought, lesbian and gay fiction, LGBT non-fiction and gender identity books. Our collection has everything for the budding activist/feminist/humanist as well as current and new releases for our longstanding allies and partners.

We love our local artists and creators and when we can – we put our money where our mouth is and buy local. Our locals provide us with many items and our partnerships are always growing. A few examples of our crafty community are visible in the huge variety of handmade soaps, a complete line of alternative menstrual products and herbal tinctures, herbs, teas and essential oils, clothing, jewelry, and rocks, minerals, crystals and gems.

In support of our metaphysical and new age friends we also have a plethora of ritual tools and resources, tarot and oracle cards, runes, Cd’s on meditation, relaxation and past life regression, candles and incense, and more. Peruse the new age and pagan sections, find your path to the Goddess with our divine feminine selection, or check out the astrology books for insights on yourself and the people around you.
