I have stayed here for a week for 15 years now and always have a great time.  But keep in mind that it's cabins in the woods not a hotel. There a camping affect to it and you need to be ready.  But the area is beautiful and everyone is super nice!

Came for a week long yearly event and the service e was completely terrible. The management needs to step up their game and staff appropriately for big events. It took us three hours to get our food.

Incredible views, great music, and the food is good. Fontana Village is a beautiful place to be. At the fire pit and the lazy river I noticed that families come here year after year. What a wonderful place to grow with as your summer vacation. Unbelievable. Highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. ( I just realized the wifi must be spotty intentionally, just like the girl at the front desk said...I guess it's for your own good while you're there) So much relaxing to do...

While the view cannot be beat, the food is a step above typical grill food.  Great local brews and nice twists on southern grill classics like the Fried Green Tomato BLT round out the menu.  The staff are super friendly.  The only thing that could use improvement is the salad bar. It's pretty basic and allows only one trip with a single dinner plate - so plan your attack accordingly.
