As a domestic traveler with having used public transportation as a primary means for travel, this is the WORST transit system I have ever come in contact with. I have seen the bald security guard with glasses curse and threaten a woman for looking at schedule on overhead monitor. The google maps and the actual paper schedules are not linked properly so the times are not always accurate. The machines are not always calibrated properly and had a bus driver (route 38 bus 4003) argue with me for not putting in correct amount when in fact I did. There have been plenty of times I ended up not paying on one bus because the machine down and would pay on another bus. Imagine that issue on EVERY BUS you got on on the way to work. The drivers and the security guards are some of the most rudest people in the city of Memphis. It is apparent that they forgot this job is to actually SERVE people. Honestly and truly, THROW THE ENTIRE MATA TRANSIT SYSTEM AWAY. They are unreliable and downright unprofessional.

I've been noticing alot of fretinizing with the passengers and the bus attendance. This has got to stop before things get out of hand. There is no reason why i cant ride the bus without hearing derogatory remarks and accusations regarding peoples personal lives. that is not cool at all. something has to be done to get rid of all this foolishness...

It's convenient and good for bad weather protection overhead! Buses run faster n quicker from here!
